Fingerprinting for Managers and Coaches
There are some significant changes coming in the NJ State Police volunteer/coach fingerprinting process. Beginning March 1, 2008, our Police Department will no longer be permitted to coordinate the fingerprinting for criminal background checks. The State Police has subcontracted the fingerprinting to a vendor, which will provide electronic live scan fingerprinting at designated sites.
After March 1, volunteers will be required to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted at a designated site -- the closest site will be in Ewing, Mon-Fri, 9am-4:50pm or the 2nd or 4th Sat, 9am-12pm.
See for Criminal Background Check Procedures March 2008 more information on the new procedures.
