Tryouts for 2017:

You only need to attend one tryout but you may attend both if you wish.

Saturday, August 6 at I-470 Softball Complex in Wheeling, WV.   Use 1 Community St, Wheeling WV for your GPS.

8u, 10u, 12u, 14u from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pitchers and Catchers stay until 1:30

16u & 18u from 2:00 to 5:00. Pitchers and Catchers stay until 5:30

Sunday, August 7 at Perry Softball Complex in Norwich, Ohio.   Use 329 Zane Grey Rd. in Norwich, Ohio for your GPS.

8u, 10u, 12u, 14u from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pitchers and Catchers stay until 1:30

16u & 18u from 2:00 to 5:00. Pitchers and Catchers stay until 5:30

11 alums and their families from the 2009-2012 seasons recently got together at the Sherman home at Christmas for fellowship, reminiscing and updating. Kayla Brill is now in the US Air Force and heading to Alaska, Kayla Lewis (not pictured) coordinator for a Head Start Program in Cleveland and campaign director for a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, Sara Pelegreen is currently the Graduate Assistant for the Wheeling Jesuit University Softball Team and works part time for Channel 9 News, Jenna Shingary runs her own photography business, Ashley Starr will graduate from Walsh with a degree in accounting and will continue to become a forensic accountant

, Dani Ramos will graduate from Kent State with a degree in Communications, Kalyn Hanby will graduate from West Liberty and pursue a degree in PT, Kayla Prokopakis will graduate from Ashland and pursue med school,  Kristin Prokopakis will graduate from Tiffin and go to grad school, Erin Ruff is seeking her degree at Presbyterian University and will be a 3 year starter on the softball team, and Sami Ringwalt is a Freshman at Tiffin and will be a 3rd Baseman/catcher for the softball team.

Coach Rick Sherman along with Elite player, Lexi Baker, took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in honor of former Road Runner Coach Ben Taylor who died of the disease in 2012.  Click on this link to view.....

Road Runners Donate to Muskingum

Jane Sherman of the Road Runner Fastpitch Organization hands a $1000 check to Kari Hoying, Head Softball Coach at Muskingum University. The donation is made annually to the University's softball team in honor of Donna Newberry, long time Muskingum Coach, at the Memorial Tournament in her name held in Cambridge, Ohio. Sherman and Hoying are flanked by umpires Mike McKee and Tony Lashley, sporting pink ASA unifom shirts in honor of breast cancer research.
