Riviera Little League: Maury Wills at Riviera
Thursday, June 22Dodger Legend Maury Wills comes to Riviera Little League's Closing Day
Maury Wills, who broke Ty Cobb's record for stolen bases in 1962, spoke to Riviera Little League on Closing Day. Dennis Brady introduced the Dodger Legend as the trophy ceremony began. Mr. Wills inspired the kids when he spoke about his own desire to become a major league player at a young age. He then presented each player with their trophy. He also signed several baseballs, which were raffled off to one lucky player from each team.
Thanks to Mr. Wills for making Closing Day one we will not forget!
