Riviera Little League: 2011 Divisions

Select Season:  
T-ball
League Age: 5-6 years old
The primary goals are to have fun, to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball, and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.


International
League Age: 7 years old
The primary goals are still primarily to have fun, and continue teaching baseball skills and enhanced teamwork.


National
League Age: 8 years old
The primary goals are still focused on having fun, while continuing to teach enhanced baseball skills, strategies and advancing teamwork principals.


Minor
League Age: 9-10 years old
This level is the introduction to competitive baseball. While enjoyment of the game is fully promoted, the focus on instruction begins to shift to competition, advanced skills, advanced strategies and team strength.


Major
League Age: 11-12 years old
This division is fully competitive baseball. Players develop their love for the sport as well as advancing their skills and strategies. Teamwork principals are focused and refined.


Junior
League Age: 13-14 years old
This division is the pre-cursor to High School baseball. Players at this level strive to advance their skills, stratedgies and love for the sport.


Challenger
Little League's fastest growing division provides boys and girls with special needs the opportunity to experience the emotional development and fun of playing Little League Baseball.
