  Tiger Rules

Rules of a Champion
1. Attendance: Be at every practice and every game.
-BEING A CHAMPION IS ABOUT MAKING A COMMITMENT!

2. Punctuality: Be on time. Don't hold up the team.
-THE ROAD TO A CHAMPIONSHIP BEGINS WITH SELF-DISCIPLINE!

3. Practice with a purpose. Focus on the development of skills, conditioning, and execution.
-PREPARATION AND PERSISTENCE BUILDS CHAMPIONS!

4. Always hustle at every opportunity. Your effort is evaluated by your positive expression as a competitor. Give it your all!
-CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS IS BORN OUT OF HARD WORK!

5. Show enthusiasm. Encourage your teammates-don't downgrade them or point fingers. Be a team player.
-LOYALTY IS A KEY INGREDIENT TO BEING A CHAMPION.

6. Always think positive. If you believe you will be successful, you're taking the first steps towards achieving your goals.
-SHOW THE POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE OF A CHAMPION!

7. Control yourself-no swearing at any time by anybody. Check you temper-don't abuse equipment or act out in frustration. Talk politely to umpires and obey your coaches. Let your coach make the argument if necessary. Players can not help the team if ejected from the game. Be mentally tough and keep a stout heart.
-DEMONSTRATE THE COURAGE AND POISE OF A CHAMPION WHEN DEALING WITH ADVERSITY!

8. No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal drugs-REFUSE TO USE. Remember-controlled substances impair your mind and body. Avoid a bad situation, by making responsible choices.
-CHAMPIONS CARE ABOUT THEIR PHYSICAL HEALTH, WELL-BEING, AND PERFORMANCE!

9. No jewelry worn at practice or in games. Conversely, dress in layers appropriate to our unpredictable weather climate-always have long sleeves or a turtleneck with you! Those not properly prepared to play won't.
-TAKE CARE OF YOUR PHYSICAL CONDITION!

10. Be proud of yourself and your team-be a positive role model. Use discretion-look and act like a student athlete. Conduct yourself like a ballplayer. Comply with all WIAA,MPS, and Riverside school rules. Your judgment, choices, and subsequent conduct reflect upon the character of the entire team.
-RESPECT OTHERS: DISPLAY THE CLASS OF A CHAMPION-GRACE IN VICTORY AND DIGNITY IN DEFEAT!
