I am a Big Game Pitcher
1. I act as if it were impossible to fail.
2. I control my thoughts; they do not control me.
3. I feel strong in control.
4. I never think can’t, don’t, won’t; only do, can, and will.
5. I don’t have to win to feel good; I only have to do my best.
6. My best weapon is my discipline.
7. My favorite pitch is STRIKE ONE.
8. I’m a risk taker.
9. I never get down on myself.
10. If it isn’t my best day, I keep battling back.
11. I’m gentle with myself, even in defeat.
12. When I don’t pitch my best game, I learn, then I forget.
13. I am always working on location and control.
14. I don’t try to impress anyone but myself.
15. When I get behind in the count, I come right back.
16. My strategy is determined by how hitters react.
17. To be effective, I understand I must change speeds.
18. I’m not afraid to pitch inside.
19. If my mechanics go out of sync, I slow them down.
20. Pitch command is the result of disciplined throwing.
21. I always stay cool and calm.
22. I don’t have to make perfect pitches, only good pitches.
23. I never fail, I only learn.
24. I respect hitters and they respect me.
25. I never let negative emotions show up on the field.
26. I respect umpires and never question them.
27. I get hitters to hit my pitch in my location.
28. I never doubt my pitch selection – I’m committed on every pitch.
29. I’m balance and control.
30. I’m power and speed.
31. I feel like I can win every time I pitch.
32. I never let the little things get in my head.
33. When my mind talks, my body listens.
34. When I get ahead 0-2, nobody hits me, nobody.
35. I use self-talk to get me back on track.
36. I’m a challenger, not a picker.
37. When I’m on the mound, I act like I own it.
38. My confidence is contagious.
39. When I need the big strikeout, I get it.
40. I never give in and I never quit – NEVER.
41. When situations get tough I get tougher.
42. I take the time to mentally prepare for every game.
43. Attitude is everything.
44. I create great games by recalling past successes.
45. When I act confident, I feel like a winner.
46. I continuously work on becoming mentally tougher.
47. When I’m on the mound, I feel relaxed, focused, and powerful.
48. To get ahead I throw strikes – to gets outs I throw balls.
49. I’m a big game pitcher.
