ABOUT RIVER CITY STARS VOLLEYBALL CLUB:
River City Stars is a "Player's Club" and exists solely for the maximum benefit of the individual player. It is operated by the volunteer efforts of its Club Director, representatives and parents. Club membership requires the commitment from each player and their parents to accept personal responsibility and flexibility in working together with the club, coaches, trainers and each other to provide an encouraging environment that will allow each player the opportunity to:
1. Build individual confidence and self esteem through peer respect and maximum court time in scrimmages and games,
2. Enhance player skills through their commitment to prioritize the intense regular practices, scrimmages, weekly training sessions by college coaches and participating in tournaments,
3. Provide team respect, encouragement, support and camaraderie by understanding and agreeing that each teammate plays a key role to the team and that another River City team or another River City player is not more important than another,
4. Provide a well-rounded environment that allows each player to balance team commitment, school, family, church, community activities and involvement so that players can give 100% to their team whether they are on the court, taking their turn supporting the team on the bench, or representing the club while in uniform, and
5. Receive maximum college exposure by utilizing the college recruiting tools provided by the club.
River City Stars Volleyball Club does not strive to be the biggest, best or winningest club. It seeks to be the best for the individual player who commits to herself, the team and the club. River City Stars supports the philosophy that when the player achieves personal success and the team works together, the wins will follow.
