Paloma Valley opened up their season by traveling down to North San Diego County to compete at the CS San Marcos Cougar Classic. In looking to defend their league titles, they look tough here coming out of the gates. The unique format has your top four athletes racing 1.5 miles as their boys averaged just a tad over 7:34 to take 3rd place on the varsity level. Senior Edgar Ramirez led their boys while freshman Jared Amador put out a nice 8:02 effort in the open race. Their girls took 2nd place paced by senior Kiarra McIntosh.
