Traveling down to run on the same course used as the Footlocker Nationals, ML King, Hemet and Chaparral competed at the Mt. Carmel Invite. Morley Field is located minutes away from downtown San Diego and is one of the more beautiful courses you can ever run on.
ML King junior Lane Werley jumped onto the statewide stage here by turning heads and having people ask, "Lane who?" Werley is the real deal as evidenced by his challenging Loyola's Elias Geydon (one of the best in the nation) and running a faster time than some of the best in the state ran in 2008! His 14:58 performance will definately catapult him as one of the best performances of the weekend in California!
