Under picture perfect blue skies the Inland Valley League Finals took place at the Canyon Springs course at Hidden Springs Park in Moreno Valley.
    The girls Varsity race started off with a little spark as La Sierra’s Kaitlyn Timmermans took a 15 meter lead into the half way point over heavily favored Karlie Creal of Vista Del Lago.  With just under a half mile to go, Creal took the lead and gradually pulled away for a comfortable victory. Timmerman’s hung on for 2nd place ahead of a hard charging Desirae Perez of Valley View who led her team to a comfortable victory over La Sierra.  Also qualifying for CIF competition were Ramona High(3rd) and Rancho Verde(4th).
    On the boy’s side, the individual title was never in doubt as Emmanuel Ngula of Vista Del Lago blasted off the starting line and cruised to a very comfortable victory.  Nezanet Woldai and Adam Arroyo of Valley View led the Eagles to a victory to cement their 2nd Varsity league title of the day with a 36-48 victory over La Sierra.  Arlington High finished in 3rd, while Ramona rounded out the CIF qualifiers in 4th place.
