PLAYER ELIGIBILITY CHECK All players must have played in three local league matches in order to be eligible for tournament play (one of the three matches may be a forfeit win). Matches that took place in the USTA RI/SEMass 16&Under Indoor League count towards this minimum, however a player must be registered and have played a match in the summer league in order to qualify for advanced play (state tournament and beyond).A Player Exception report will be run off of TennisLink to determine eligibility, so it is vital that all of the matches are reported ASAP after being played this week.

The state tournament format, decided at the league preseason coaches meeting:
All matches will be 2 out of 3 sets, with the sets decided at 4 games.
No Ad scoring throughout. A 9-point tie-breaker played at 3-3 in the first two sets (first to 5, can win by 1).
A Super Tie-Breaker (first to 10 and win by 2 will be played in lieu of a third set). Matches are decided by most individual matches won – 3-2, 4-1 or 5-0.* 9-point tie breaker:
Serving rotation 2-2-2-3, at 4-4 receivers choice except in mixed doubles. Change sides after 5 points.*
Super Tie-breaker: Serving rotation 1-2-2-2-2-2 etc., changing sides every 6 points. Since a Super tie-breaker is considered a new set, teams can choose who serves first for them just like in a new set.
NEW ENGLAND SECTIONALS Winners of each division advance to the USTA New England Sectional Championships, August 18-19 in Springfield (18s) / Longmeadow (14s), Mass.
