The RI Riptide will be back in 2013 with a solid core of returning players from the 2012 team, some new recruits that are excited to join us, and any new players that want to play some real football.

 The RI Riptide are a member organization of the New England Football League (NEFL) which currently consists of over 35 additional teams.  The N.E.F.L. was founded on the basic principles of promoting this level of football in a controlled and structured environment while still maintaining a grass roots approach by making participation as cost effective as possible, controlling travel through scheduling geographically by a teams location, and creating a competitive balance through various levels of competition.

            The season begins in July and runs through October.  Practices vary from organization to organization but generally teams practice 1 to 2 times a week.  Practices will usually begin a few months ahead of the actual start of the season.  The Riptide play their home games at Westerly High School located at 23 Ward Avenue, Westerly Rhode Island 02891.  The team will travel throughout New England for away games.
