RI Lightning 16U South

The RI Lightning 16U South players and coaches offer our sincerest gratitude to our parents and sponsors. Without their generosity and support this program would not have existed. May God bless our players, coaches, parents and sponsors now and forever.

Although RI Lightning Fastpitch Softball is still a well-known, thriving organization with several teams in various age groups, our team has come to the end of it's journey. We have some players that are hanging up their cleats for good, some who are moving to other teams, some who are focusing on graduating high school next spring and going on to college and some who want to try other activities/sports. As coaches, we retire with mixed emotions. We will miss the daily interactions with our girls, but will not miss the grueling schedule we all had to keep. We are very happy and proud to have spent so much quality time with them on and off the field. We feel as though we became more than just a team, we became a family. They are all exceptional young ladies and will truly succeed in all aspects of their lives.
