About Richmond Little League

Founded in 1960, Richmond Little League is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing organized baseball to the youth of Richmond and Madison County.

Little League Baseball is a program of service to the youth. It is geared to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training under good leadership in the atmosphere of wholesome community participation. The movement is dedicated to helping children become good and decent citizens. It inspires them with a goal and enriches their lives towards the day when they must take their places in the world. It establishes the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play.

2015 RICHMOND LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL SIGN UP SCHEDULE

 Age as of April 30, 2015

League Ages: Senior 13-16, Major 11-12, Minor 9-10, Coach Pitch 8-9, Rookie CP 6-7, Tee 5-6, Wee 4-5        

*Players who are 6 and have played one season in Tee Ball may play in Rookie Coach Pitch.

*Players who are 7 and have played one Spring season in Rookie Coach Pitch or in another baseball program may sign up for Coach Pitch. 

*Players who are 8 and have played two Spring seasons (one in Coach Pitch) or in another baseball program, may tryout for Minor League, and if not drafted on a Minor League team will play on a Coach Pitch team.

*Players wo are 9 and not drafted into Minor League will play on a Coach Pitch team.

*Players who are 11 and not drafted into Major League will play on a Minor League team.

          There will be a $10 late fee for sign ups after January 18.

Those who do not sign up on the above dates will be placed on a waiting list by emailing a message to richmondlittleleague@gmail.com. Include child’s name, birth date, parent’s name and contact information. After the number of teams are determined, those on the waiting list may not get on a team.

SENIOR LEAGUE GAMES will begin in May at the end of the middle school baseball season. An additional sign up date for Senior League will be on Sunday, March 8 at the Little League office from 2:00 to 3:00.

A CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE should be brought to signups for any player who did not play in Richmond Little League during 2014.  If a certified birth certificate is not available, bring a hospital certificate.

REGISTRATION FORMS are available on the website (and will be available at sign ups).   Payment (cash, check, orcredit card)  is expected at the time of sign-ups.  There is no scholarship/financial assistance program.   Anyone payingwith a credit card will pay an additional credit card fee.

FUND RAISER INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED AT SIGNUPS.  Fund raising will be done in March. Parents who do not want to participate in the fund raiser can pay a $40 buyout fee at signups. 

 

VOLUNTEER FORMS will need to be completed by all adults who would like to be a manager, coach , to help at

practices, or assist with players in any way when providing service to the league.  Volunteer forms will be available 

at signups.   Volunteer forms can be completed at signups.  Bring your driver’s license which will be copied and attached to your volunteer form.   Volunteer forms are also available on the Little League website.  All managers and coaches must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Lost & Found items

Throughout the season, many people lose and find all types of items at the park. We have a Lost & Found container at the concession stand. Please stop by and ask a staff member for assistance. If you find something, please take it to the Concession stand.

If you find something after hours or when the Concession stand is closed, it would be greatly appreciated if you would drop the item off at Parks & Rec on Second Street or bring it back when the Concession stand is open. You can also Email the League at
richmondlittleleague@gmail.com and notify us of your found or lost item. We'll try to assist as much as possible
Please label all of your baseball equipment (gloves, bats, bat bags, hats). It can help us notify you if it is found
