To speed up your registration process, please download the applicable forms and complete them prior to your arrival on registration day.

Flag Division is for players that are 5 & 6 years old on or before July 31st. Seven year olds that are under 50 lbs and NEVER PLAYED FLAG BEFORE may play in flag, with the Board of Directors approval.
Junior Tackle Division is for players that are 7 & 8 years old on or before July 31st. Nine year olds that are under 70 lbs and NEVER PLAYED JUNIOR TACKLE BEFORE may play in Junior, with the Board of Directors approval.

Senior Tackle Division is for players that are 9, 10, and 11 years old on or before July 31st. If a player has participated with any Middle School football program they are ineligible for Senior Division. We strongly urge all players that have played at least one year of Senior tackle to play 6th Grade football.

The RYFCL will host its first ever NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition on Saturday, July 26, 10:30 AM at our new football field in the Lake Reba Complex. Our final league registration date will also be on this date.

Players will be divided into age groups for the competition and winners will be announced for each age group.

The final registration for the 2008 football season will also be held on this date. If you have not registered THIS IS THE FINAL DATE. All registration applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list. All players registering on or before this date will be guaranteed placement.

League Registrations will be 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

If you cannot make this registration date, contact a board member prior to July 26 and arrangements to accomodate your registration prior to the cutoff date can be made.

The entry form for our Punt, Pass, & Kick competition to be held on Saturday, July 26th, 10:30 AM at our new Lake Reba Football Field is now available in the handouts section. This is a pdf file.

Please print and complete this form to speed up the registration process. Remember, the competition begins at 10:30 AM, and all participants must be registered prior to start time.

If you have not registered for the upcoming 2008 football season, this is also the last date to register. All applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list.

Senior Division:

Friday, August 8th

Check in starts at 5:30 and the workout starts at 6:30.

Junior Division:

Saturday, August 9th

Check in starts at 8:30 AM and the workout starts at 9:30

Attention Head Coaches:

Due to limited practice space this year, Junior and Senior teams will be assigned practice areas near the football field. There will be a hand sketched layout available for the Head Coaches at the entry of the football area. If your team is bumped from its assigned area by soccer or softball, you will be permitted to practice on the game field.

Flag teams will practice at Irvine McDowell Park on Lancaster Ave.

Coaches - BE SURE TO CLEAN YOUR PRACTICE AREA AT THE END OF EACH PRACTICE!!!!!!!! This is critical for continued use of the Lake Reba sports complex.

In an effort to preserve the entry area to the football field all players and Assistant Coaches are required to park in the upper softball field parking lot. Head Coaches will be permitted to park in the football area to accomodate the practice equipment loading and unloading.

In an effort to minimize the possibility of destroying the entrance area to our field and allow emergency vehicles (if necessary) access to the football, the City Of Richmond will allow only the following persons to park at the football field entrance:

 1) Head Coaches (Not Head Asst; Head Coaches ONLY)

2) Board Members

 All authorized vehicles will have a YELLOW laminated parking permit that will read BOARD MEMBER or HEAD COACH.

We have received a warning on the parking issue. The City will write parking tickets for all violaters. Head Coaches contact your Division Commissioner for your parking permit.

Please help keep our assigned areas clean! These areas are property of the City and the league is responsible for the cleanliness of these areas.

Parents, before you leave, pick up all the trash around you. Coaches, after the parents leave, please make a second sweep of trash.

Below is a schedule for the equipment handout this year. The player and their parent/guardian must be present for the issue. The Equipment Manager will not allow a coach to leave with additional equipment if the player is absent.

Our equipment storage is located at Fort Knox Storage. Your Head Coach will have directions for you. Head Coaches, please contact your Division Commissioner with any questions. 

A revised rules handout has been added on 9-1-08. It is an excel file. Be sure to print the entire workbook, as there are 4 tabs total.

Mandatory Coaches meeting will be held Wed, 9/2/08, 6:00 PM at the Lake Reba Football Field.

If the Head Coach cannot make, an Assistant Coach may attend.

EACH TEAM MUST BE REPRESENTED

This meeting will last approximately 30 minutes

The pre-game support schedule has been posted. This year we will attempt to use  only one ADULT per team.

The support will be required to report ten minutes before the game PRIOR to their game. Report / Sign in at the concession stand.
