Major League
Any player candidate with a league age of 10, 11, or 12 years shall be eligible to compete for participation in the Major League at either or both of two annual spring tryout sessions. Players with a league age of 12 will be drafted by the Major League. Exceptions can only be made on the basis of concern for safety. A “Majors eligibility” waiver form has been completed and approved by RNNL Board and District Administrator. Minor "A" League Any player with the league age of 10, or 11 years shall be eligible to participate in the "A" level of play in the RNLL Minor League. In addition, any player who has a league age of 9 years may compete at this level of play provided he or she has demonstrated the skill and maturity necessary as determined by a consensus of the evaluators of the Minor "A" League candidates. Minor "B" League Any player with the league age of 7, 8 or 9 years shall be eligible to participate in the developmental "B" level of play in the RNLL Minor League. In addition, any player who has a league age of 9 years shall compete at this level if he or she chooses to do so or has not demonstrated the skill and maturity necessary to play in the "A" level as determined by a consensus of the evaluators of the Minor "A" League candidates. Tee Ball Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls 5-6 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Rosters may be composed of between 12 and 14 players. No live pitching is permitted in this division. Challenger League |
