Welcome to Rocky Hill Connecticut Little League

Welcome to the official web site for Rocky Hill Connecticut Little League.  Rocky Hill Little League is proud to offer a quality Baseball and Softball program to the residents of Rocky Hill. Little League Baseball is available to players ages 5 through 12.  Babe Ruth Baseball is available to players ages 13 through 15.  Little League Softball is available to players ages 5 through 12.  Juniors/Seniors Softball is available to players ages 13 through 16. 

Please visit our web site throughout the Season to stay current with our Little League program.  Kids - Can you find your team? Find your Standings? Locate your Schedule?  Adults - We are a volunteer organization. There are lots of ways to volunteer, not all of them time consuming. We always need people who can lend a hand for an hour or two for field preparations, announcing games, painting, concessions, opening day, etc. If you are interested in getting involved please call or send an e-mail to one of the board members expressing your interest. 

The Schedules, Teams,  Handouts, Message Boards, and Chat areas of our web site are restricted to Rocky Hill Little League eteamz members. To obtain an eteamz account click on one of these links and follow the registration instructions.  Once approved for access you will be required to utilize your unique user id and password to access these areas of our web site.  The process is intended to limit access from individuals outside of our community and force individual accountability.

Rocky Hill Little League Notice of Annual Meeting

Rocky Hill Little League (RHLL) will be holding its annual meeting on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Rocky Hill Community Center beginning at 7:00 PM in Room 1.  The purpose of the annual meeting will be to wrap-up the 2008 Season and to vote for new Board members for the 2009 Season.  The meeting is open to the general public, however, only current members of Rocky Hill Little League may vote on Board members for the upcoming season.  Current members of RHLL are defined as those volunteers who submitted a complete and approved Volunteer Application Form/background check during the 2008 Season as outlined in the league constitution.  If you interested in becoming a Board member for the 2009 Season you must give written notice by October 24, 2008 so that your name can be placed on the ballot for the 2009 Board of Directors. Notice of interest should be sent to the League Information Officer via e-mail at  rhctll@yahoo.com or via fax at (860) 520-5003.  A brief Board meeting will follow the annual meeting. Meet and Greet Baseball Clinic With Pat Egan
Pat Egan will be hosting a meet and greet baseball clinic on Saturday November 1, 2008 at Baseball City in Hartford.  Pat Egan grew up in Rocky Hill and is now a member of the Baltimare Orioles Pitching staff.  The cost of the clinic is $ 20.  The clinic is intended for players 7 year of age and older.   Ages 7-9 begin at 9 am.  Ages 10-14 begin at 10:30 am.  The purpose of the clinic is to teach baseball fundamentals the major league way.  A flyer with clinic detail’s is attached to the handout below.  If you would like more information please call baseball city at (860) 527-2489 or visit their web site at www.baseballcityct.com.

Congratulations 2008 9/10 District Softball Champions

The Rocky Hill 9/10 All-Star Softball team are the District Champions for 2008.  The team was proudly Coached by Allan Greenspan and Mike Shook.  The team received lots of coaching assistance from John Yorio, Sebastian Genovese, and Charlie Spellman.  Many thanks for all their assistance in preparing them for their games. The team now advances to the Sectionals to be held in Norwich, CT July 17-21.  Good Luck Rocky Hill !!

The Rocky Hill 9/10 All-Star Baseball team are the District 7 Champions for 2008.  The team was proudly Coached by George McKinnon and Chris Ott.  The team received lots of coaching assistance from, Guy Carducci,  Steve Botticello, Tom Moise, and Rod Armstrong. Many thanks for all their assistance in preparing them for their games. Several Rocky Hill Varsity Baseball players of Coach McKinnon's gave of their time to work with the kids on hitting and fielding.  Also, thank you to Conrad Oliva and Brian Batalis for their work in the pressbox. The team now advances to the Sectionals to be held in Jewitt City, CT July 16-22.  Good Luck Rocky Hill

Little League Registration

Rocky Hill Registration for Baseball and Softball begins in mid-January of each new year.  Registration notices will be mailed to all previously registered residents in early January.    If you are not currently a member of Rocky Hill Little League and wish to receive a registration notice for the upcoming Season please send an email with contact and mailing address information to the Information Officer so you can be added to our mailing list. The Registration deadline is typically the 2nd or 3rd week of February for Little Leaue and the end of March for Babe Ruth.  Updated Registration information is also available on the "Registration Materials"  area of our web site.  We encourage you to Register Online to streamline the registation process.  To Register On-Line select the "Registrator Online For Our Events" link from the menu bar on the left.

Prospective Managers and Coaches

Rocky Hill Little League is always looking for energetic and qualified Managers and Coaches.  If you have interest in Managing or Coaching, please contact Kevin Bouchard at (860) 257-0298 or via E-Mail at bouch42@cox.net (for Baseball) or Jane Granato at (860) 563-5561or via E-Mail at  jegranato@sbcglobal.net (for Softball) by February 29, 2008.  All Manager candidate’s must be approved by the Rocky Hill Little League Board of Directors.  Managers will be given a list of individuals that expressed interest in coaching and will select Assistant Coaches after teams are formed.  

Each Manager candidate will receive a letter from the Manager Selection Committee detailing the selection process and key dates.  They will also be requested to complete a questionnaire and Little League Volunteer form.  These must must be returned to the committee by March 7, 2008 If you indicated that you are interested in Managing a team and do not receive these materials from the Manager Selection Committee by March 3, 2008, please contact Kevin Bouchard (Baseball) or Jane Greanato (Softball). 

Each candidate is invited to attend the board meeting on March 10th and will be given an opportunity to introduce themselves to the board and answer any questions the board may have regarding their background.  The approval process is accomplished by circulating a ballot to all board members who vote on candidates. Voting for these position's will occur on March 10th.

Rocky Hill Little League Umpires

Rocky Hill Little League is always in need of qualified umpires.  Games are typically scheduled after 5 pm on weekdays and daily on weekends.  We are always looking for umpires that are High School age and older.  If interested please send an e-mail to the Information Officer expressing your interest at rhctll@yahoo.com

Free Physical Therapy Screening

Rocco Labbadia, RPT at CT Diagnostics on the Silas Deane Highway has offered a free physical therapy screening for any Rocky Hill Little League Player that is injured or has a sore arm during the 2007 Season.  See Attached handout for details.
