Ridgewood-Glendale-Middle Village-Maspeth Little League Queens Oldest Little League Charted In 1952"

Seither Stadium is the home of the Ridgewood-Glendale-Middle Village-Maspeth Little League and is located at 78th Ave. & Woodhaven Blvd. in Glendale Queens.
 
There are three playing fields used for Boys Baseball and Girls Softball. There are two regular Little League fields and one Instructional / Rookie field. All Senior and Travel team games are played at Juniper Valley Park and Victory Field. There are over 1000 players and 60 teams that range in ages 5-18.

The Clubhouse is located at 80-17 78th Ave. Directions to Seither Stadium and the Clubhouse can be found by clicking the compass icon on the left. 2012 Application - Mandatory Background Checks For All League Volunteers

Recognizing the need to protect our greatest assets and treasure- our children, RGMVM LL and Little League Baseball will require Background checks for all League Managers, Coaches, Ladies Auxiliary, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams. This Policy took effect beginning with the 2003 Season. All persons interested in becoming volunteers (managers, coaches, etc.) must consent to a national background check. RGMVM 2012 Instructional Summer Baseball / Softball Camps For Ages 5-12...

 

 

This Summer RGMVM will be holding its own week long baseball camp for ages 5-11. This will be an instructional camp with former pro baseball players, high school coaches as well as college players. There will be a 10% discount for early sign an legaue members.

Hey It's Raining Out What Do I Do?

 

Parents, managers, and fans please read this important message concerning rain, snow, hail, wind-storms, sandstorms, snow storms, just plain bad weather, and re-scheduled cancelled rained out games. We all hate bad weather and canceling games due to it.. BUT sometimes it happens... You can check the Web site and field phone for updated information. Remember sometimes the web site and message MIGHT NOT BE UPDATED..So when bad weather hits or you are unsure if the game you are scheduled to play is gonna go on we have one simple Golden Rule here at RGMVM:

1- TO BE SURE YOU MUST COME DOWN TO THE FIELD TO SEE IF YOU ARE PLAYING... Calling the field the same day, the day before, the week or the night before does not work.. - Sometimes the phone is BUSY.. - Sometimes the message has not been updated.. - Sometimes the phone never stops ringing. So you cannot update the message… Also calling the Division Heads, or the league President, again the same day, the day before, the week or the night before.. IS NOT AN OPTION........ 

Sometimes you might look out the window and say: "Look at it out there they will never be playing today" Well most of the times we are and you are going to miss the game, or even worse your team forfeits because it did not have enough players.. UGHHH..

So please remember that one simple RGMVM Golden Rule..

1- YOU SHOULD COME DOWN TO THE FIELD TO SEE IF YOU ARE PLAYING... and everything will be just cool .. :D

Also managers are required to come down to the field to check the rescheduled date for any rained out games.

All managers are urged to read the Little League rulebook and the RGMVM in-house rules. Remember that the different Divisions have different rules. All managers must carry their rulebook and cite said rule for any on field discussions. There are NO game protests allowed. All disputes will be handled on the field and arbitraged by a RGMVM Board Member !

All managers should remember why we are all here, not the wins or loses but...THE KIDS !

MLB Pitch Hit and Run for Queens

 

W.O.R.K.S Little League wil be hosting the MLB Pitch Hit and Run for Queens, all children between the ages of 7 thru 14 has the chance to participate in the competition. The date is Saturday may 5^th 1pm at Pals Oval. located on 88^th st and North Conduit. You will have to sign this pre-registration form that is attached. If not you must be there by 12:30.

Al Erdmann Jr Selected to Ump At The Eastern Regional Little League Tournament!

Al Erdmann Head Player Agent long time league member and umpire was chosen by Little League to umpire at this year’s Eastern Regional baseball tournament. The Eastern Regional’s is the last step before Williamsport, and the Little League World Series. 

Congratulations Al on a the well deserved recognition.

When practicing and working on your baseball swing, emphasis must be placed on the hands and the path that the hands must take. Learning a "short" swing and not a "long" swing can aid any hitter from little league to the professional ranks. The concept of getting to the baseball as quickly as possible, going from a set position to contact point, going from point A (set position) to point of contact (point c) can be accomplished in a theory developed even before baseball ever existed: A straight line.

On Monday Oct 1 Mets superstar Carols Beltran made a surprise visit to RGMVM Little League. Carlos is a close friend with hitting coach Gabby Martinez. Gabby was giving a clinic down at Seither Stadium. Gabby and Carlos spend over 2 hours giving the kids a hitting and fielding clinic.

Then Carlos signed autographs for all the kids. Carols also took batting practice of his own and did long toss with coach Gabby. Gabby Martinez and Greg Modica are doing baseball clinics every Saturday in October at RGMVM Seither Stadium..
