2012 Baseball - Softball Season - Celebrating 60 Years!
Player Registration runs January 15 - March 1.
LEAGUE INFORMATION
- BOYS CLINICS: Happening now! New this year are the pre-season clinics offered to the boys ages 8-9 & 10-12. We've teamed up with Legacy Sports Camp in Oak Park to run these professionally run courses on hitting, fielding, and pitching, as well as speed & agility training. Please sign your son up to get him ready for this upcoming season. See link below for clinics.
- CO-ED KIDDIE CLINIC: Kindergarten and 1st graders. See date info below.
- SEASON SCHEDULE: During the season, teams will play one to two games per week and one game on Saturday. Practices vary by coach, but most teams practice once or twice a week. No games will be scheduled during Memorial Day weekend.
- DIVISIONS: To confirm which level of play your child is, please click on "Divisions."
- EVALUATIONS: RFYBS holds evaluations for all prospective players in Boys Minors and Majors and Girls Majors and Senior Divisions to provide objective information to coaches prior to the drafts. Evaluations will be held the weekend of March 3 & 4 at Concordia University’s Gym. Times will be listed on this site as well as sent out on a league email blast.
- Evaluations were implemented to create more balanced teams. These are not tryouts, as every player makes a team, but every player should attend. Players are assigned alphabetically to a time slot. Players should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time to check-in and should wear gym shoes and bring their mitts. Only the coaches will be allowed in the gym.

- MISC: You will find some great items for sale on your registration page. We are offering personalized player bat bags & player backpacks, as well as a commemorative practice t-shirt celebrating 60 years of baseball in River Forest. January 22 - March 18: Girls Softball Pitching Clinic, run in conjunction with the River Forest Park District. Every Sunday from 3-4 pm in the South Gym at Roosevelt Middle School. It's not too late to sign up ! Contact the Park District directly (708-366-6660 x104) if you wish to register.
March 3 & 4: Player Evaluations (3rd grade and older) at Concordia's Main Gym

March 5 – 11: Player Drafts
April 15: Co-Ed Kiddie Clinic for Kindergarten and 1st Graders at Concordia's Main Gym
