Summer is here! RYC Summer Basketball is the hottest league in Northern Virginia.
This season we have over 600 players!! Registration is now closed,
but contact the league for wait list/potential placement.

  • Note to parents: Please bring bottled water (most needed item) and/or non-perishable sides -- cookies, brownies, fruit, chips, baked beans, etc.
  • 3-point contests following each game that is open to ALL league players
  • Picnic to follow (and during) the All-Star Games
  • Spirit of the Games players to be recognized at the end of the 9, 11, and 13U games

Divisions:
Instructional: Mixed boys and girls for beginners, ages 5-9. Kids in this division learn the fundamentals -- with the emphasis on FUN!! Instructional division teams play once a week. With half the session devoted to teaching fundamentals and the other half a scrimmage with another team. If you think your child is ready for the next level, bring him or her to the 9U tryout.
9U House: Mixed boys and girls in competitive league play.
11U House: Mixed boys and girls in competitive league play.
13U House: Separate boys and girls divisions in competitive league play.
15U House: Boys division in competitive league play. Individual and team registration.
18U Division: Boys division in competitive league play. Individual and team registration.
 
League:
  • All games are played weeknights -- no weekend games.
  • Game days/start times: Monday - Friday, 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Start times for 9's and 11's no later than 8 pm.
  • Games are played indoors at South Lakes HS and outdoors at Southgate CC.
  • Team Practices are held outdoors.
  • House teams play 8 - 10 games during the season.
  • All players will receive a league shirt which is required for league play.
  • All players are guaranteed playing time.
  • Players in the 9U, 11U, and 13U divisions may be asked to participate in an enrichment or fundraising activity -- further details to be announced.
  • The season culminates with our Night of Champions and our All-Star Picnic scheduled for the final week.
  • League awards go to league champions, runners-up, Tournament MVP, All-Star MVP, "Spirit of the Games", and "Coach of the Year" in each division.
