    At the beginning of the FAll 2008 season the Team was ranked 2nd in the State of Virginia, 17th in the Region, and 61th in the Country, while the club is ranked the 2008 top soccer club in the State of Virginia by the Potomac Soccer Wire (see and click on 'Handout' below). 

After winning the NCSL U-18 Championship in the Fall 2008 and the Chesepeake bracket of the Bethesda Thanksgiving tournament, MPS 90 is ranked 1st in State, 7th in Region 1, and 24th in the Nation.  

Fall 2008Tournaments 

MPS 90 competed in the following tournaments:

•  Bethesda Thanksgiving Tournament, Gaithersburg, MD  November 22-23, 2008. With a record of 1-2-0 MPS against Region 1 Premier and Colonial League teams, MPS 90 was not only undefeated and but not scored against. It won the Chesepeake Bracket of the tournament.   
• Baltimore College Showcase, Columbia, MD December 28-29, 2008. After winning its bracket undefeated, MPS 90 lost the final 1 nil to Vaughan Azzuri (Ont). 

MPS 90 will compete in the following tournaments:

• PA Classic College Showcase, Manheim, PA  December 6-7
• Dallas College Showcase, Dallas, TX December 11-14, 2008. 
• Disney Soccer Showcase, Orlando, FL December 27-30, 2008

 Most Valuable Player Award 

Carrying on with team tradion, the MVP of each tournament will receive a trophy and a cash or cash equivalent award donated by team sponsors.
