WHY WE FUND RAISE
WHY WE FUND RAISE

The RLL Raffle Fundraiser is off and running!  The rainy weather has not only affected baseball games, but it has also hampered some of our players going out and selling raffle tickets.

We're still early into the Fundraiser, so we're encouraging all players to put forth an extra effort in making this year's RLL Raffle a success.  The goal is for each player to sell their allotment of 40 raffle tickets.  Our league counts on this extra revenue for part of its Annual Operating Costs because the registration fees alone do not cover the cost of running the league.  Thus, we have to find other ways of raising funds.  Fund raising also provides the league with additional funds to support our Challenger Program ( players with physical dis-abilities), players who rely on need based scholorships to participate, and to support capital improvements to our facilities.

Our league has always tried to keep registration fees as low as possible, but if we're not successful with fund raising, reality is that our registration fees could go up - and nobody wants that.  We also think the fundraiser is a great way to get our players out in the community and to give them ownership in the success of the league.

These raffle tickets really sell themselves compared to fundraising methods used by other local youth sports leagues. While many fundraisers ask for a straight donation of $5 or more, our RLL Raffle offers the ticket purchaser (at $5.00 each)  the possibility that they could win one of our many great prizes. In addition, each ticket is a $5.00 off coupon to Mama Lucias! So when you add it all up, our raffle tickets are the best because they support our league AND they offer something to the ticket purchaser.

Sold raffle ticket stubs and money are being collected by the fund raising coordinators on your team and turned it to Tammy Heinemann.

And remember, the team that sells the most wins a pizza party at Mamma Lucia; the player that sells the most tickets overall in RLL wins a $500 gift card to Best Buy, and the first player on each team that turns in their 40 sold tickets wins a special incentive prize.

Sponsorship Opportunities for the 2009 Spring Season - Click for Sponsorship Form

Community support and sponsorships are an integral part of the success of Reston Little League (RLL.)   As a team sponsor, your business (or you personally), will be recognized as a supporter of RLL.  Your contribution goes towards the purchase of uniforms and equipment for all divisions of our league; and insures that the kids of our community have the opportunity to productively use their time and energy learning teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship skills, all while having a great time. This year, we are offering three levels of sponsorships, including a League Sponsorship and two levels of Team Sponsorships.  At every level, your company will be recognized as a sponsor and community activist supporting the League.  It’s a great way to introduce your company to a vast audience of both adults and youth in the area.

HALL-OF-FAMERS SPONSORSHIP -  $1,000

Includes a large banner with your company name displayed on the outfield fence of Reston Little League’s home field, Fred Crabtree Park (previously known as Fox Mill), and A Full-page ad in the 2009 Reston Little League Yearbook, and Company recognition on our “Thank You to Our Sponsors” page in the Yearbook.

 MAJORS TEAM SPONSORSHIP - $600

Includes printing of your company name on the back of the team baseball caps, and A Half-page ad in the 2009 Reston Little League Yearbook, and a Team Sponsor Plaque, and Company recognition on our “Thank You to Our Sponsors” page in the Yearbook

TEAM SPONSORSHIP-  $400

Includes printing of your company name on the back of the team shirts.  You can choose which division you’d like to support – A, AA, AAA, T-Ball, or Challenger, and A Third-page ad in the 2009 Reston Little League Yearbook, and a Team Sponsor Plaque, and Company recognition on our “Thank You to Our Sponsors” page in the Yearbook

Your contribution will make a positive difference in actively showing community support for the area’s youth and future leaders.  Thank you for your participation.

DEADLINE 2/15/09 Reston Little League Sponsorship Program, c/o Tammy Heinemann1274 Lamplighter Way, Reston, VA  20194, 703-435-5558

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS $1,000 Banner Sponsorship: How long is the banner displayed?  The banner is displayed at the Fred Crabtree Park, located off Fox Mill Rd., the RLL home field.  The banner is displayed all weekend, approximately from 9am - 7pm during the games. Is the banner for the entire “baseball year,” or is it only displayed in the Spring Season?  The debut of the banner is during the Little League parade, usually around the second week of April.  The season goes through July (around the 3rd week) with playoff games and then the All-Star tournament games.  The banner would stay up during all of these games. After the July session, we have a fall session that begins in September and goes through around the 1st week of November.  The banner would be up during that time, so you are paying for the baseball "year."

How many banners are on the field at one time?   For the 2008 Baseball Year, we had six sponsorships.  The banners were hung along the main walkway between the two fields on the fencing.
Is the artwork for the banner different from the Yearbook ad?  Yes, the banner size is 5ft. x 3ft. and the artwork needs to be condensed to just a couple of lines to fit the banner.  The artwork for the Yearbook Ad is sized differently – for banners it’s a full page.  Most companies like to add more information to the Yearbook Ad.

$600 Majors Sponsorship: How is the company name printed on the back of the cap?  It is embroidered on the mid-to-lower section of the back of the baseball cap. $400 Team Sponsorship: How is the company name printed on the back of the shirts?  The company name is heat stamped on the back of the shirt around the area of the shoulder blades. Can we use our company logo on the back along with our name?  No, we only print the company name.  Some companies have very small icons as logos, while others are large.  We don’t feel we can offer the printing of the logo out of fairness to every company.  Some would fit, while other logos don’t. Can we use our own font-style for the shirts?  Yes, you can email the lettering and font style without any logo icons  (as it would appear on the shirts) to the printer directly.
