PARENTS ROLE IN RENO NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE
We encourage all parents to come out and cheer on all our kids who play baseball. Please follow these simple guidelines:
1. Be a good sport and a great fan.
2. Support the team, and at the same time be your child's greatest fan.
3. Attend as many games as possible.
4. Have consideration for all participants in the game. Especially your child's teammates and coaches. This also includes umpires.
5. Follow proper communication guidelines with your child's coach if you have a concern about the program.
6. Be especially supportive of the team and your child during tough times or hard losses.
7. Leave the coaching decisions to the coaches. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and second guessing is common among spectators in all sports, especially baseball. Don't lose perspective in this area. Criticism of coaches, umpires, and players undermines the program and ultimately ends up hurting the kids.
8. Help your child adhere to all the rules and regulations of the program.
9. Aid in fund raisers by selling raffle tickets.
10. Your support is appreciated. You are an important part of your child's success in the program.
