REDLEGS Finish Pool Play

Las Vegas- When the final buzzer sounded the MAARNG Redlegs realized they have played themselves into Division 2, with the opportunity to win the Noble Eagle flag, as opposed to the Red Flag they usually compete for.

Game 1- The Legs couldn't shake off the jet lag losing to the US Navy Maritime Forces 4-1. Getting the lone tally was Bobby "Clubber" Lane with a nasty slapshot off the post and crossbar beating the talented Navy tender.

Game 2- After splitting time between the pipes SFC Patrick Burke went the distance against Grand Forks AFB turning away 36 shots and grabbing an all important point with a 2-2 tie. SSG Chris Cobb scored the first goal taking a feed from brother Andy and Johhny Wiggin. The Warriors then tallied the next two goals until Scotty Frank took over. On one shift the diminutive defenseman broke up a scoring chance in his own zone then walked in from his point to pot the tying goal earning himself the game MVP bottle opener..........

Game 3- A well rested Danny Calis took over net-minding duties against Minot AFB as the Legs faced their second North Dakota squad in so many days and gained their first victory 7-5. Calis stood tall in a shoot-out as both defenses took the morning off.  The line of Lemaire, Fenstermaker and Lane scored two goals as did the line of Jared Chambers, Blake Wilson and Dave Rucker, Wilson getting both and gaining himself the coveted bottle opener MVP. The first line of Cobb, Cobb and Wiggin dominated play in both ends.
