About the Rebels 

If you grew up in East San Diego County then you know you're a little different. On the other hand, if you play(ed) lacrosse in the East County then you know you’re very different. You're a rare breed. Because you're one of the few who knows what it's like play this game the way it was intended. The attributes of a successful East County player, lies his “lunch pail” attitude, work ethnic, physical toughness, and pride for the community he lives in. Like the ancestors of the sport, you know what it's like to go to war against opponents far bigger and with greater resources. For years the Grossmont league has produced some of the top talent within the San Diego CIF section. Everyone knows names like Justin Bokmeyer, Alex Rochon, Austen Doster, Pat Barbour, Colt Adams, Tony Phelps, Max Cohen, and Dominique "The Ghost" Bradley as being among the top lacrosse players to come out the East County (since the inception of the SD-CIF Grossmont League in 2002). It is our intention to ensure this list continues to grow for years to come. Perennially, lacrosse in the East County has been subjected to the elitist attitude held by those outside our community. We have been labeled second rate, and told that we'll never be able to compete on a larger scale. Well the Rebels are here to change all that. We will pull talent strictly from the 8 high schools/surrounding areas with middle school feeder programs that compete within the San Diego CIF Grossmont Conference and independently within the SDCLA (El Capitan, Foothills Christian, Granite Hills, Grossmont, Helix, Monte Vista, Santana, and Valhalla) in efforts to create  competitive teams that will benefit the players and ultimately the region as a whole. We know there is no shortage of so-called "All-Star" teams in the San Diego area, but we want to be the one that represents our community to the best of it’s ability.
