Particularly during our teenage years we are confronted with many important choices. While some of our friends elect to commit themselves to academics and athletics, other lifelong friends may choose a different path and devote their time to the pursuit of things that can lead to far more problems like drugs or drinking. The choices we make define us as a person. I don't know that I've ever heard a story about the drug addict that everyone admired. Make the choices that make you the kind of person others aspire to be like. The choice to be the devoted scholar and athlete is sometimes the more difficult path in terms of the work and sacrifice required, but the path leads to far more rewarding things. Choose wisely this summer!
