Randolph Wrestling Family,

Welcome to the 2012-13 Junior Rams Wrestling Season     

The Randolph Wrestling Committee would like to welcome you all to "The Randolph Wrestling Family". We truly look at our organization, at all levels inclusive, as one "Family", and I hope to communicate to you that our Program depends on everyone to make it work.

We will update our website every Sunday evening for the upcomming weeks schedule. Please use the resource through out the season.

Our dedicated and experienced coaching staff consists of Tom Wysocki at the Clinic Level, Doug Walsh / Salar Ghahary at the Novice Level, Dave Cobianchi / Alex Narcise at the JV Level, Mike Lyons, Carl DeStefanis and Pat Glory at the Varsity Level.        
                  
The start of the season is here and is as follows:

• Clinic (K & 1st Grade): 12/01/12 (High School Wrestling Room) Practices are on Saturdays 10:30am to 12 noon
• Novice (2nd & 3rd Grade): 11/20/12 (High School Gym or Wrestling Room) Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm to 7:30pm
• Middle School (6th, 7th & 8th Grade): 11/12/12  
  Practices are Mondays 6-8PM at the High School Wrestling Room. Tuesdays thru Fridays 2:45-5pm at the Middle School.       
• Varsity/JV (5th &6th): 11/12/12
  Practices are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6-8PM at the Randolph High School Wrestling Room

Randolph Recreation Wrestling Mission Statement

The Wrestling teams are a Randolph Township Recreation Department Traveling Program participating in the Tri-County, NJ Grade School, New Jersey Future Stars and King Of The Mat Wrestling Leagues As such, it is the mission of the program to promote wrestling among the youth participants and to develop wrestlers who wish to continue to engage the sport at a progressively competitive individual/ team level. The program is divided into levels as specified below, each with a different set of goals:

Clinic
An entry level to the sport. Designed purely to introduce the kids to the sport of wrestling with basic instruction, supervised simulated wrestling. Games, make it fun with the hopes of them coming back to wrestle at the next level. (Kindergarten & 1st Graders)

Novice
Truly the first exposure to competitive wrestling in an informal Jamboree format, as well as, formal tournament participation. A moderate level of instruction with the emphasis on developing the core techniques in executing moves during a competitive match situation. (2nd & 3rd Graders)

JV
Accelerated instruction with individual and team standings. League, county and state tournaments are common place. These kids are generally trying to compete for a varsity spot as well. (4th through 8th Graders)

Varsity
Accelerated instruction with individual and team standings. At this level, competition becomes rather intense with a heavy emphasis on hard work and dedication. Aspirations of being the best in your respective weight class are very evident with the wrestlers. (4th through 8th Graders)

Grade School (Varsity)
Much like the Tri-County varsity league but a notch higher on the level of competition. These wrestlers are extremely dedicated and preparing for the next level, High School. The Grade School Team is made up from our Middle School Wrestlers (6th, 7th and 8th Graders).
