Coach Carmen doing what he loved

Welcome to the

RANDOLPH OILERS
2008 EFL REGULAR SEASON CO-CHAMPIONS
OILERS '09

John Carmen, longtime equipment manager for the Randolph Oilers has passed away. It's with a heavy heart that the Oilers say goodbye to a great friend and family member. Officially Johnny was our equipment manager, but to most guys he meant much more. He painted all the helmets for the team up until this season when he became too ill to do it. He was not only loved by the team, but by the entire EFL. Coach Carmen bled blue and gold and his life centered around the Oilers. His spirit will forever be with us on the sidelines, and I know he'll be looking down on us as we make our run for the championship. I'm sure his final thoughts were about the Oilers. John Carmen was 61, may you keep him in your thoughts and may he rest in peace

RANDOLPH-28 HYDE PARK-16

The Oilers battled their way to a first round playoff victory over the Hyde Park Seminoles 28-16...They advance to the semi-final round and will face Clinton next saturday at 2pm in Clinton...The Oilers got on the board in the first when Ryan Myers found Brooke Payne out of the backfield for a 7 yard score...They fell 8-7 when Hyde Park scored and added a 2 point conversion...Right before the half Myers hooked up with Dan Carroll to take a 13-8 halftime lead.

Randolph socred quickly after the half when Charles Thomas ran the ball in from 23 yards out...The 2 point conversion to Carroll gave them a 21-8 lead...Hyde Park came quickly back making it a 21-16 game...After a good return from Payne, the Oilers drove a dagger into the Seminoles hearts when Myers found Matt Boutin on a fade in the end zone giving the Oilers a 28-16 win.

Anthony Goodwyn notched 2 more sacks, and the Oiler D recovered 3 fumbles as they beat up on Hyde Park's offense all night...Offensively, the O-line played well and opened holes for Thomas, Payne and Frank Gaudette

Thank you for visiting the home of the Randolph Oilers. With this Friday’s kickoff versus arch rival Clinton, Randolph now begins the start of another exciting season. The Oilers have been in existence for over 35 years and have a long and proud history. The won-loss record really cannot start to measure the value of this program. The owners and coaches have prided themselves in treating all players who have worn the Blue and Gold as men and as family members. To evaluate the success of the Randolph Oilers, all you have to do is look around the EFL and NEFL, and you will see so many ex-players, coaches, and staff members from the Oiler Family. The men who wear the blue and gold into battle each season strive to uphold the proud Oiler tradition. Please join us at the games this year, in what we believe can and will be a championship season.
