Frozen Ropes has offered RBLL free clinics for our players. This is a great opportunity to brush up on pitching, hitting and fielding if you haven't been playing. If you are playing fall ball, there's always room for a little more practice. With sign ups for Spring in a couple of weeks and try-outs sooner than you think, I feel that this is a great offer.
The staff that you will meet is comprised of experienced professionals who know how to work with youth players. This includes Ron Whitmeyer (former Stanford and MLB player and hitting coach at Stanford and Cal), Tracy Sanders (10 year professional player and former hitting coach with Pittsburgh Pirates), Joe McAtee (former pro pitcher and pitching coach at RBHS), Eric Andrews (former director of National Pitching Association), and Brian Hipps (former pro player and certified strength and conditioning specialist).
The clinics will consist of an introduction to proper mechanics, drill stations led by our professional instructors designed to teach and reinforce those mechanics, and video analysis and feedback of each players swing/pitch motion using our advanced Right View Pro Video Analysis software that allows us to compare them side by side to the top Major League players.
The clinics start this Friday and are open to the first 30 players that call to reserve a spot. Call soon to save a spot. For planning purposes, players must register in advance and can do so by calling Frozen Ropes at 858-485-9399 or emailing them at sandiego@frozenropes.com.
The cllinic dates and times are as follow: The ages are what you will be for the 2010 season.
Friday, November 20th 5-6:30pm Pitching Clinic for 9-12 year olds
Please arrive early to check in so you can begin promptly.
I hope you take advantage of this offer. There will be a pitching clinic for 8u's at a later date, also, after the holildays. Frozen Ropes has also offered a lot more upcoming events for the players, coaches, fundraising, team parties and discounts for clinics and parties. Stay tuned to our website at RBLL.org for updates.

Former Cy Young Award winner and Padres legend Randy Jones is joining the Frozen Ropes team. Beginning December 1st, Randy will be bringing his experience and pitching knowledge to our already first class staff & facility and will be available for pitching lessons. Jones, whose uniform #35 has been retired by the Padres, has coached many young pitchers since his retirement from baseball. His most prominent pupil was Barry Zito, a current Major League pitcher with the San Francisco Giants and the 2002 American League Cy young Award winner.
We are very excited to have Randy with us. Please call or email for additional information and to set up a lesson.
