  Welcome

Rams

Welcome to the home of the South Eastern Youth Basketball Organization (SEYBO). The role of youth programs is developing players. It goes way beyond winning and losing. Winning isn’t important. Wanting to win and having fun is what is important. Our Youth program has 4 main goals:

1) Learn the game -- First and foremost, the kids will be taught the fundamentals of the game of basketball. By teaching kids these skills at an early age, we give them a better chance to discover their abilities and potential as basketball players down the road.

2) Learn good sportsmanship -- Sportsmanship may seem like an out-of-date concept today when professional athletes and coaches act in ways we would not want our children to imitate. How to display good sportsmanship is one of the most important skills any youth sports program can teach its participants.

3) Put forth effort -- Kids need to learn that how much they get out of something is determined by how much they put in. As long as they put forth the effort and try as hard as they can, they are always winners no matter what the scoreboard says.

4) Have FUN -- Without a doubt, the most important goal we have is for the kids, parents and coaches to have FUN! We will measure the success of our teams and our program by the number of smiles we see, not the number of wins and losses.

Our program puts aside the attitude of "winning at all costs" and emphasizes skill development, confidence, sportsmanship, friendly competition and FUN. Check back to this site often as it will be updated throughout the season.

Thank You!!!

A very special thank you goes out to all those who volunteer in this program. A recreational program such as this cannot be successful without the commitment from volunteers. There is no better way to be involved in our community than by sacrificing your time for our kids’ benefit.
