Feb 3,2010 Meeting minutes are posted
The minutes from last night's meeting are posted on the section reserved for them. Take note that the next meeting will be one of the most important meetings regarding the league in quite some time. A new President and Executive will be chosen as well a new format for play offs will be presented and voted on. A new announcer is required as Dave has left Regina and is no longer available. We need to know the number of teams for 2010 as a schedule will have to worked on very quickly after the March meeting.

Okanese Braves are the 2009 Rambler Park League Champions
Lead by the 1 hit pitching of Dustin Keshane, the Okanese Braves completed the comeback from 2 games down to win three in a row and win the 2009 League Championship. The score in the final game was 2-0 for Okanese. Congratulations to Okanese.

Okanese Ties Series
Okanese evened the series with a 9-2 victory. Game 5 will be contested tonight at 6:30 p.m., at Rambler Park. Tyler Walker gave the Braves a commanding lead in the fifth inning with a three-run home run. That was part of a three-hit, four RBI night for Walker. Derek Heisler hit a home run for Silver Screen. Dustin Keshane was the winning pitcher, going six innings with seven strikeouts and only surrendering four hits. Wade Hebig was the losing pitcher. Thursday, September 3
Okanese Stays Alive
The Okanese Braves have extended the series with a 6-1 victory over Silver Screen Sportswear last night. Silver Screen leads the best-of-five series 2-1. Terrell Walker hit a three-run home run in the second inning, capping off a five-run inning for the Braves. Travis Walker contributed to the Brave's cause by going 2-for-3 with a triple. Dustin Keshane earned the pitching decision over Al Muhle. Keshane struck out 13 in seven innings, allowing four hits and one walk. Wednesday, September 2
Silver Screen Takes 2-0 Series Lead
Silver Screen took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five League final on Tuesday with a 6-4 win over the Okanese Braves at Rambler Park. Wade Hebig earned the win after holding the Braves to three runs in five innings before giving way to Al Muhle, who allowed one run in the final two innings to earn the save. Terrell Walker did most of the damage for the Braves with a 3-for-4 night that included two doubles and a solo home run. Lonnie Griffin led Silver Screen with a double and two runs batted in. Silver Screen Takes Game 1
Shane Graefer hit a walkoff home run in the seventh inning to give Silver Screen Sportswear a 5-2 victory over the Okanese Braves in Monday's opening game of the best of 5 series. Braden Konschuh helped Silver Screen's cause by going 3-for-3. Nathan Stevenson went 2-for-3 for the Braves. Al Muhle earned the pitching decision over Glen Geddes. Muhle struck out eight in seven innings, allowing four hits and no walks. |
