Matt Raleigh
- Matt is the owner of RBI and serves as the head Hitting Instructor.
- Born in Swanton VT where he was a member of the Missisquoi Valley high school and won 3 state championships.
- Graduated from Western Carolina University with a Sports Administration degree, won Freshmen of the Year in the Southern Conference in 1989.
- Was named to the Division 1 All-American team in 1992 where he lead the nation with 25 homeruns and then went on to sign with the Montreal Expos in the 14th round.
- Became a member of Western Carolina University Hall Of Fame in 2004 where he currently is the all time homerun hitter.
- Matt played professional baseball with the Montreal Expos, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, and the Florida Marlins. He led the Eastern League in 1997 with 37 homeruns with the Binghamton Mets.
- After an injury ended his playing career he became a hitting coach with the Florida Marlins for the past 4 seasons. He had a great opportunity to coach Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis the same year the were called up to the major leagues the same year they won the World Series.
- Matt has been running Raleigh Baseball Institute for the past 8 years. He currently resides in Endwell NY where he is married to Michelle Raleigh. They have 4 wonderful children Alexis, Meaghan, Matthew and Brody.
