Rainier District Little League: RDLL General Information
By playing baseball and softball, boys and girls ages 4 to 18 years old learn the game, develop physical skills, and make new friends. They also learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play, while playing in their local community.
Boundaries: Players must reside within RDLL boundaries. Please see our League Boundaries web page for a description of league boundaries.
Registration: You may register at our walk-in registration (dates below), on line on our home page, or forms may be downloaded from the website, printed, filled out, and mailed to us at: RDLL, PO Box 28994, Seattle, WA 98118. You may request a registration packet be mailed to you by emailing us at rainierdistrictlittleleague@yahoo.com, or call the information line at 206-781-RDLL (7355). NOTE: The walk-in registration is the best opportunity to get information, ask questions of the board, register your child, and become part of the of RDLL community!
Registration Checklist:
1) Completed Registration Form (paper or on-line)
2) Completed Medical Release Form and Concussion Information Form
3) Signed Parent Code of Conduct Form
4) Parent/Custodian Volunteer Form
5) Copy of Birth Certificate
6) Proof of residency (e.g., driver’s license, car registration, voter registration, utility bill)
If your child needs to play with a sibling, another child, or a specific coach please indicate on your registration form (coach selection applies only to T-Ball, Tee and Toss, and Coach Pitch divisions).
A word to the wise: pre-registration will save you time, versus registering at Skills Day or T-Ball opening day.
Divisions and Ages: Players must be little league age 4 to 18 (how old the player will be on April 30, 2013).
· T-Ball is for 4, 5 and 6 year olds. Teams will be formed in late March. T-Ball players do not need to attend Skills Day.
· Tee and Toss is for 2nd year 5 and 6 year olds, and first year 7 year olds, Teams will be formed in late March. Tee and Toss players do not need to attend Skills Day.
· Coach pitch is for 1st year 8 year olds and 2nd year 7 year olds. Teams will be formed by draft on March 12th. Coach pitch players do not need to attend Skills Day.
· Kid Pitch Divisions: 8 to 14 year olds (see Skills Day schedule below). Teams will be formed by draft in early March
· Softball is for 8 to 14 year old girls (see Skills Day schedule below). Teams will be formed in early March
· Senior and Big League Players (Little League age 15-18) may register now through May 1st; the season starts after the end of high school baseball.
T-Ball and Tee and Toss Divisions: Teams will be formed in late March for play starting April 1. Registration is open, please register in advance.
Kid Pitch and Softball Divisions: Skills Days are for 8 to 14 year old boys and girls. All players are required to attend at least one Skills Day to be evaluated by the league. A parent or guardian must accompany their child to Skills Day to sign the medical release form. Kid pitch teams are formed after Skills Days. If you miss all the Skills Days, you will be waitlisted and put on a team based on availability.
7 year olds can try out for first year kid pitch if they have played baseball before.
• Skills Days: bring a glove and bring your child to more than one Skills Day, especially if he or she did not play well on the first day.

Skills Days for all Kid-Pitch players (8-14 years old) are held at Rainier Baseball Fields at the corner of Rainier Avenue S. & S. Alaska St.) on the following days:

Manager/Coaches/Assistant Coaches: A mandatory meeting will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2013, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Rainier House, 5270 Rainier Avenue S. for all adults wishing to Manage or Coach this season.
