My coaching style revolves around the fact that everything should be done with purpose. As a setter (and engineer!), I know how important it is for a team to work together. I love this sport & the lifelong lessons & friends that it has given to me, so I hope that my enthusiasm is contagious!
I have played volleyball almost year-round since 4th grade. After graduating from Mariner High School, I played at a Division-I school in California (I had to set against Misty May!) & spent a summer playing in Europe. I have coached a number of teams, primarily U-15/16. This is such a great age group because it is so integral in a player’s development, both physically & mentally. I look forward to helping these athletes work on “the little things.”
During the day, my husband & I both work for Boeing, and we love to play in rec leagues together while our little daughter Lucy watches. I am currently the JV coach at Kamiak High School & use portions of the Gold-Medal Squared philosophy … you can check out their Website for a testimonial from me!
