I have been involved in volleyball for about 14 years now as a player, coach, and official. I have 8 years of coaching experience working with girls from 6-16. Watching the team grow and learn to work together is the most rewarding part. I believe that in order to succeed the team needs to work as one and that is what I teach. If every member puts forth their best effort then that is what makes it possible to have a winning team. Communication and teamwork are needed in order to find success on the court. I was a volunteer coach for girls 6-16 years old with Big Island Volleyball Academy while in school in Hilo, Hawaii. In doing so I have learned different ways to approach the game and plan to bring some of that back with me. I am a certified USAV official and scorekeeper. I also worked as a scorekeeper for the University of Hawaii at Hilo volleyball matches for two years. I am Impact and CAP I certified. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Social Work.
