End-of-Season Banquet - ** UPDATE **
The East Paulding High School Raider Basketball end-of-season banquet has been scheduled for Thursday, March 1st at 6:00 pm in the EPHS cafeteria.
There will be no charge for anyone attending the banquet. There will not be a meal, but cake and drinks will be served. Anyone who would like to bring an appetizer/dessert to share would be greatly appreciated.

Pink Day T-shirts!
Pink Day T-Shirts will go on sale at the high school on Wednesday, January 11th. The Pink-Out High School games will be Saturday, January 14th vs Paulding County HS at EPHS. 9th Boys game begins at 1:30 followed by the JV Girls at 3:00 pm, JV Boys at 4:30, Varsity Girls at 6:00 pm and Varsity Boys at 7:30 pm.
Youth medium to adult XL will be $12 each while 2X-3X will be $14 each.

Oconee Holiday Classic
The Raider Varsity boys and girls teams traveled to the Oconee Holiday Classic tournament over the Christmas Break. The Varsity Boys defeated Athens Christian and Oconee County while falling to a tough Landmark Christian team to improve their record to 7-4. The Varsity Girls defeated Athens Christian while losing close games to Jackson County and Oconee County for a current record of 3-7.

2011 Warrior Holiday Classic
The 2011 Warrior Holiday Classic schedule is posted in a printable version in the Downloads section. Our East Paulding Raider and Lady Raider varsity teams will be competing in this tournament December 27-29.
Basketball Parent Meeting
The Parent Meeting for our entire East Paulding Basketball Program (Jr Raiders in addition to Freshman, JV and Varsity) will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at 7:30 in the EPHS Auditorium. Important information regarding our program will be discussed - every player needs to have a parent or family representative attend.
Booster club memberships will be available for $20 each - membership in the East Paulding Raider Booster Club allows you to be a voting member and have an impact on the decisions made for the Jr Raider and high school season.

High School Tryouts
High School basketball tryouts are scheduled for Monday, October 24th at the East Paulding High School gymnasium.
9th and new girls tryouts: 3:45-4:45 pm
Returning girl players tryouts: 4:45-6:30 pm
9th and JV boys tryouts: 6:00-7:15 pm
Varsity boys tryouts: 6:30-8:30 pm

Raider Program Booster Meeting
There will be a Raider Program Booster Meeting for our entire Raider basketball program (including Jr. Raiders) on Wednesday, March 16th at 6:30 pm in the EPHS main gym.
We will be voting on many issues that will effect our 2011-2012 basketball program. Jr. Raider banquet dates and plans will also be determined. Please plan to attend as we continue to determine the direction of our Raider Booster Club.
Raider Basketball Banquet
The Raider Basketball Banquet will be held on Wednesday, March 9th at 6 pm in the EPHS cafeteria.
The cost for the catered meal will be $7.00 per person with the players' meals being paid for by the basketball program.
Please plan to attend as we honor our 2010-2011 Raider basketball players and recognize their achievements for this season.

Region Tournament
Congrats to our Lady Raiders for winning the first two rounds of the Region Tournament! They defeated North Paulding 51-36 in the first round and Villa Rica 48-41 in the second round. They are in action at Chapel Hill on Tuesday, Feb. 15th to determine State qualifications. Good luck Lady Raiders!
Congrats to our Raiders varsity boys who defeated Osborne 69-59 in the first round of the Region Tournament. The Raiders play Pope on Wednesday, Feb. 16th AT Pope at 7:30 pm. The winner of this game is a State Qualifier!

SENIOR NIGHT!!
East Paulding Raiders will honor our senior basketball players at Senior Night on Friday, February 4th. Friday's games against Sprayberry are also the last home games of the regular season.

The 3:00-3:30 pm time slot is reserved for any East Paulding High School players who would like individual photos taken.

The South Paulding game times have changed for this Saturday. They are as follows:

Schedule Changes due to weather!
There are quite a few schedule changes due to school being cancelled for an entire week.
Jr. Raiders - all game changes and additional information are on the Jr. Raiders page.
For the high school: Lithia Springs is rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb 2nd. The Cedartown games on Saturday January 29th are cancelled and the games at Kell have been rescheduled for that date.
The games at Paulding County have been re-scheduled for Monday, February 7th (varsity only - no JV or freshman games).

Due to road conditions, there will be no practices for ANY of our Raider basketball teams.

Stevie B's Fundraiser Day
Our next Stevie B's Fundraiser will be Wednesday, Dec. 15th. Please plan to eat lunch or dinner at Stevie B's in Hiram and be sure to tell them you are with the East Paulding Basketball Program! Your family gets an easy, delicious meal and our program will receive a check from Stevie B's. Please mark your calendar and plan to go!
Raider "BLACK OUT" Day
Saturday, December 11th is our first Raider "BLACK OUT DAY"! Our entire basketball program - Jr Raider AND High School - has Home games that day.

Tuesday, November 16th is our next Stevie's B's Fundraiser night! Proceeds go directly to our Raider Basketball Program. Please bring your family & friends to the Hiram Stevie B's - be sure to tell them you are with the East Paulding Basketball Program!

Raiders Victorious over Cherokee in Pre-season scrimmage
All players made the opening scrimmage against Cherokee an echoing reminder that the Raiders are in it to win it this year! The entire Junior Raider Program was in attendance and cheered on our varsity teams.
The Lady Raiders worked hard but came up short against the Cherokee Warriors. Isis Simmons led the team with 13 points while Haley Carroll pulled down 16 rebounds.
The Raider boys defeated the Warriors 59-45. Senior Devon Gusby led the team with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Victor Wynn had 15 points and 3 assists.
Come out and support our Junior Raiders, Freshman, JV and Varsity basketball teams!

Mandatory Parent Meeting
There is a Mandatory Parent Meeting on Monday, November 1st at 7:00 pm in the EPHS auditorium.
This meeting is for the parent(s) of ALL the East Paulding basketball teams: 9th grade, JV, and varsity plus the Jr. Raider teams. Please plan to have at least one parent attend.

Practice location change - week of November 1st
Due to the main gym floor being re-surfaced, the high school boys and girls teams will be practicing at the East Paulding Middle School gym November 1-6.
The Junior Raider program will still practice in the high school auxilliary gym.

Open Call Booster Club Meeting
There will be an Open Call Booster Club Meeting on Thursday, October 14th at 6:30 pm at EPHS. This meeting is MANDATORY for all Youth Team Members who made their respective teams following tryouts. Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend.

Raider Basketball Conditioning Start Date!
Raider Basketball Conditioning will begin on August 12th from 3:45-4:45 at East Paulding High School. Athletes should meet in the locker room promptly at 3:45. This is required for all boys trying out for basketball who are not currently involved in a fall school sport. Students will need to have a current physical to participate.

Junior Raider Basketball Camp
The Jr. Raider Basketball camp will be held July 12-16 from 9 am to 1 pm at the East Paulding High School gym. The camp is open to ALL elementary school and middle school boys interested in basketball.
Participants can register beginning at 8:30 am the first day of camp. The cost for the camp is $65 and includes a Raider t-shirt.

*Mandatory* Parent Meeting
The next meeting for East Paulding Basketball parents and players is May 17th at 7:00 pm in the gym health room. This meeting is MANDATORY for all players who plan on participating in the boys' program summer team camps.
If a parent cannot attend this meeting, the player MUST attend or he will not be able to participate in the summer team camps.
The coaches are inviting all the middle school basketball parents to attend this meeting to get to know the high school coaches and parents. Please help spread the word to any current 8th grade basketball parents that you may know.

Our first East Paulding Basketball Stevie B's fundraiser night will be held on Tuesday, March 30th at the Hiram Stevie B's location. The fundraiser runs all day, so proceeds from your lunch OR dinner (or both!!) will go to our East Paulding basketball program.
Be sure to tell them you're with East Paulding Basketball - and enjoy the pizza! Hope to see you there!

2010 Physical Day
This years' Physical Day 2010 will be held on Saturday, April 17 at Kennesaw State University.
East Paulding High went last year and had 33 students get physicals. In return, we received a check for $330 for our athletic department.
The cost is still $20 and includes a heart screen. For every student that attends, $10 is awarded to your school. Bring 50 kids, earn $500 for your athletic department. Students need to bring the exam forms signed by a parent/guardian and wear shorts and t-shirt - girls wear backless swimsuits.
This event is sponsored by Pinnacle Orthopaedics, Pinnacle Orthopaedics Research Institute and Solaris Heart and Vascular.
