Radnor Boys' Youth Lacrosse: Spring 2005 Divisions

Hooper - Gill League (2nd - 4th Grades)
Our house league is named the Hooper–Gill League (“H-GL”). Phil Hooper and Doug Gill were two dedicated coaches in this program who passed away due to cancer. We named the house league after them to remind us of the values of sportsmanship and dedication to the sport that they exhibited.
After the first two to three Sunday sessions, the boys in the H-GL will be divided into two divisions of teams of 10-15 players which will then practice every Friday evening and play every Sunday afternoon. High school lacrosse players assist parent coaches. The games are played on a shortened field with 6 players and a goalie on the field at a time for each team.

Travel Program "A" (7th & 8th Grade)
The “A” level is for 7th and 8th graders and will play in SEPYLA. The A level games are generally played on Saturday mornings with some A2 games scheduled on Sunday. The teams generally practice one evening per week though additional practices may be scheduled. The A1 team will play against the finest youth lacrosse teams in Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey; therefore, the boys trying out for these teams should be committed to playing lacrosse as their primary Spring sport. The A2 teams generally have a greater disparity of talent with first year players participating on these teams. Boys who are unsure of their commitment to lacrosse or for whom lacrosse is a second sport should express a preference for this level.

Travel Program "B" (5th & 6th Grade)
The “B” level is for 5th and 6th graders and will play in SEPYLA.   The B level games are generally played on Sunday afternoons, but some may be scheduled on Saturday to accommodate our opponents. The teams generally practice one evening per week though additional practices may be scheduled. The B1 team will play against the finest youth lacrosse teams in Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey; therefore, the boys trying out for these teams should be committed to playing lacrosse as their primary Spring sport. The B2 teams generally have a greater disparity of talent with first year players participating on these teams. Boys who are unsure of their commitment to lacrosse or for whom lacrosse is a second sport should express a preference for this level.

School Teams (7th & 8th Grade)
Radnor Youth Lacrosse sponsors a weekday after school program which will breakdown into two teams that will play other middle school teams. This program is open to 7th and 8th graders who attend schools that do not have boys lacrosse programs.
