Racine Soccer Club: Volunteer Information

Volunteer Commitment

Racine Soccer Club is a volunteer run organization.  In order to function as a successfully soccer club, every family is required to volunteer 6 hours (per child in RSC) toward the Lighthouse Classic Tournament in October.  These hours may be served either in preparation, execution or take-down of the tournament, which is the weekend of October 10th & 11th in 2009.

Additionally, each family is expected to volunteer an additional 4 hours of volunteer service (per child in RSC) toward club each year.  These volunteer hours can be satisfied in a number of different ways;  by participating on a committee or performing a task that either helps sustain RSC day-to-day operations or contributes to developing (growing) RSC into a better club.

·       Members that are unable to fulfill the 4 volunteer hour requirements, may opt out of any or all of the 4 hrs at a buy out rate of $10 per hour.

o      the buy out only applies to the 4 extra hrs -  the 6 volunteer hrs for the tournament are mandatory.

·       Managers will only be exempt from fulfilling the 4 hrs if they attend all 8 managers meetings during the year.

·       Families with multiple children in RSC will be responsible for the full 4 hours for the first child, and ½ the hours for each subsequent child in RSC.

o      2 children = 4 hrs + 2 hrs = 6 hrs

o      3 children = 4 hrs + 2 hrs + 2 hrs = 8 hrs
