Welcome Back!

It's that time of year again.  High school seasons are winding down (or hopefully UP) and athletes are checking club tryout schedules.  Raytown is looking forward to another awesome season to follow up on last year's incredible performances by many of our teams.

Tryouts: 1st Day - Sunday, Nov. 15th.  2nd Day - Wednesday, Nov. 18th.  For complete tryout info, download our brochure or scroll down on this page.

FEES

The club fees for the 2009-2010 season will remain the same as last year.  $1000 for the season (9-10 tournaments).  There is an additional cost for attending qualifiers and/or festival tournaments (see our brochure).  Girls 12's, 18's and Boys: $600 - these teams have a short season.

2009-2010 BROCHURE:  Is downloadable from our "Forms" page.

TRYING OUT "UP" IN AGE GROUP

Raytown encourages athletes to try out for their own age group, however will allow athletes to try out up in age group.  Ability will be the determining factor in whether a player is made an offer and not a desire to play with other players based on high school team affiliations.  The WIAA has limits to team composition.  For more info regarding these rules/limits, visit wiaawi.org.  Information can be found in the WIAA Info, under "Eligibility Questions & Answers."  Additionally, more info can be found in the WIAA Bulletin, Vol. 85, No.2.

ELITE TEAMS

For the first time ever Raytown will be offering the opportunity to participate on an "Elite" team at the 17's and 15's age levels.  These teams will be commited to participating in 1 or 2 national qualifiers as well as regional festival tournaments.  There is an increased cost and deposit required.  Click on "News & Events" page for addtional information.

UPDATE ON WIAA ISSUES REGARDING RACINE RAZOR VBC

Jenny Hahn, Executive Director of Badger Region, and Tom Shrafranski, assistant Director of WIAA, reviewed the membership agreement between Racine Razor VBC and Razor Sharp Fitness.  The interpretation of the fees structure for Razors Volleyball Club has been resolved so that there is no violation or eligibility issues for any of the members of the Razor VBC.  The families will be paying their dues to the volleyball club.  The expenses that the volleyball club incurs for club activities at Razor Fitness on behalf of their members will be paid to the facility by the club.
