RGYFO 2013 Scholarship Winners

The RGYFO Board of Directors is pleased to announce the awardees of our College Scholarship Program for 2013:

Jacob Sokol (William Horlick HS) and Dylan Thilleman (J.I. Case HS) are the 2013 scholarship winners.  These former Gladiators each exhibited tremendous accomplishments academically, athletically, and in terms of community service over their high school careers.  RGYFO is pleased to make funds available which help with the costs of higher education for Jacob and Dylan.  We know the future is bright for Jacob (UW-Madison) and Dylan (Wisconsin Lutheran College), and it brings pride to our organization to be associated with these fine young men.

Each year Racine Gladiators Youth Football Organization makes up to three, $250.00 scholarships available to high school graduates within the State of Wisconsin.  Applicants must have participated in athletics for two years during their high school career, but playing football is not required.  There is NO requirement that applicants have any prior association with Racine Gladiators Youth Football.  Students that will graduate in June 2014 should check with their guidance counselors beginning in February of 2014 for the application packet, or can find the forms on this website around the same time.

2013 Tournament Program Announcement

2013 RGYFO Competition Schedule

Dekalb Youth Football "Scrimmage Day" (8/10 or 11) - U9 through U13 Teams will participate in two scrimmages each on EITHER the 10th, or 11th of August.  A variety of teams from North Central Illinois are anticipated to be in attendance.

St. Louis Labor Day Classic (Labor Day Weekend: 8/31 to 9/2) - RGYFO will return to the Labor Day Classic for the first time since 2010.  The top talent in the St. Louis area competes in this tournament, and it's a great early season test for our U9 thru U13 teams.

Midwest Gridiron Classic (11/2 - 11/3) - For the fourth straight year RGYFO will travel to Dekalb, IL for this top-notch tournament within a two-hour drive from home!  U9 will attempt to defend it's 2012 Championship, and U13 will try to make it THREE championships in a four year span.  Will U11 bounce back after losing the finals 7-0 to Rockford (IL) in last year's attempt to be repeat champion?  This tournament has rapidly grown and now draws teams from several states in the Midwest (IL, WI, MI, IN, and IA).

Gladiator "Home Game" (11/10 or 17) - Once again we are in the process of searching for a home game (somewhere in SE Wisconsin) so friends and families can easily see our Gladiators in action.  More details to come when available!

Midwest Youth Football National Championships (Thanksgiving weekend) - We return to Cleveland, OH, where it all began for the Gladiators in 2006.  The MYNFC draws over 100 programs per year from the upper Midwest, Northeast, and Atlantic Coast regions.  The Gladiatos have captured FIVE National Championships at this tournament, but none since 2009.  Is this the year we return to glory?

*For those keeping track, the above schedule will provide at least nine games (incl. scrimmages) to compete, and possibly as many as 13 for each team.
