Named to Top Prospect Team
PG Crosschecker REPORT: "Quinton Miller is a 2008 RHP/3B from Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ, with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame. Miller was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event, and was one of the best pitchers in attendance. On the mound he has a strong frame with an online delivery. Miller has very good arm speed that helps produce a heavy fastball that topped out at 88 mph. He gets heavy sink at times on his fastball that will induce many groundballs. Miller is quick to the plate and attacks hitter. To compliment his fastball, Miller mixes in a 72 mph curveball, but his best secondary pitch is a nasty change-up at 75 mph. Miller maintains good arm action on his change-up and it can be a strikeout pitch at the next level. He also showed his arm strength defensively with soft hands at third base. At the plate he has strength in his swing and shows good bat speed. His swing is short and quick from a no stride approach. He stays balanced through his swing with good rhythm. Miller is a two-way prospect with a great future on the mound. He is also a good student.".
