  Welcome

1999-2000 AAU Team
1999-2000

GETTING STARTED
THE QUEENS OF THE COURT were a dream of Coach Sim Lacy when his two daughters Kyla and Kaydee became involved in grade school basketball.
He felt they could improve on their skills by competing in AAU basketball.
THE QUEENS OF THE COURT name was an idea of Sim's wife Amy, with all of the girls agreeing that this was very good.
The first assembly was at The Anderson Police Athletic Club, which soon became too small for the number of girls involved.
Practice's were moved to Bethany Christian Church and Westvale Elementary School.
The first practice had 10 girls which soon grew to 15 girls, after word got out.
The first season (1999-2000)ended with a 20-12 record with all games played on the road. An 8th place finish in the State AAU Tourney concluded the first season.
