Coach Travis 2008 season update

2008 Outlook and Philosophy

I am extremely excited about the upcoming summer and the potential the boys have. We fielded such a strong turnout; it was extremely difficult to finalize a roster. We wanted to bring on as many guys as we could without it inferring with sufficient and equally playing time. That is an extremely important issue for me regarding this summer. We have a lot of talented young players, and I really feel they have the potential, and drive, to be great. Both as a team, and in personal growth. That's why my policy for this summer is that every player will play at least 40% of every game, with most players averaging 50%-60%. There is no need to run one line at every position all of these boys are extremely talented, and would defeat the purpose of getting these players better. We will improve on an individual basis each day in practice and then come together to play as a team during competition. It is my goal for this team and the rest of the coaching staff to provide these boys the tools to play lacrosse at a very high and competitive level, as well as have these players get better in every aspect of their game by the end of the summer; and with the attitude and enthusiasm that I have seen over the last two days of practice, I know that they will put in the work necessary to accomplish such success. The kids showed extremely positive energy and effort; and that's how I want this summer to go, I want nothing but positive energy at all times. The kids are here from a variety of schools for one common purpose: to learn, get better, play lacrosse, and have fun while they're doing it. I encourage parents to hang around practices and watch your son out on the lacrosse field. I am thrilled about the future and look forward towards the rest of the summer.

QC Starz Behavior & Attendance Policy

QC Starz has a strict behavior and attendance policy for players and parents.  It is expected that QC players will always show good sportsmanship and to be good club representatives where ever they go. Poor sportsmanship will result in disciplinary action and may lead to removal from the club. Unexcused absences will not be tolerated and will lead to removal from the QC Club. Please contact your coach in advance if you are unable to make a practice or a game. The use of drugs and/or alcohol is also strictly prohibited. If players are caught using either substance while under the supervision of the QC Program, they will be removed from the club and the matter will be referred to local law enforcement.

Parents are requested to watch games from the side of the field opposite the players.  Parents are also requested to set a good example for our players.  We expect you to show good sportsmanship towards players, coaches and officials at all times. Unsportsmanlike parent behavior may lead to player removal from the club. If you have a problem please contact your coach or the club administration at an appropriate time.

If a player is dismissed for violating any of the behavior or attendance policies above, no refunds will be issued.
