Welcome to the Pflugerville Pop Warner Football and Cheer Site
HOME OF THE PFIGHTING PANTHERS!
Pflugerville Youth Football League will host the Southwest Region Quarter Final Championship Games, Saturday, November 14, 2009 @ Westwood High School in Round Rock. There will be three Championship games and three bowl games, two of which will feature our TM and MM teams. By hosting these games, it will allow PYFL to raise money thru admission and concession sales
We will need volunteers and would appreciate it if you can come out and assist. Please contact Charles at charles_simpson@dell.com

COACHES
We are looking for experienced coaches for both football and cheer. Coaching a Pop Warner team or cheer squad offers great opportunities to be a positive influence in a childs life, teach meaningful lessons through sports and have fun.

Pflugerville Pop Warner is the oldest and most successful football and cheer organization in Pflugerville. We are not a start-up league!
Pflugerville Pop Warner is affiliated with Central Texas Pop Warner and games are played in the Central Texas area. We do not require our teams to travel to San Antonio for competition. We offer flag and tackle Football along with Cheer for the youth of Pflugerville and the surrounding areas.

POP WARNER FOOTBALL
Pop Warner football has been around since the inception of the league in 1929 by founder Joseph J. Tomlin as a four-team conference in Northeast Philadelphia. Since then, participation has steadily increased to today's record number. Over 240,000 youths participate in Pop Warner sanctioned football programs in 2004 and those numbers are continuing to grow.
SAFETY FIRST
Kids compete with kids of similar age and size. Pop Warner is the only football association that sets and enforces a strict age and weight matrix that reduces the risk and reality of injuries. We don't try to build stars. We don't want to over inflate a young ego, nor do we want to risk injuring the self-esteem of a young person. Whether our kids have a good day or bad day, they are still an integral part of our teams.....and always will be!

Austin, TX - This week's FOX 7 Friday Football Player of the Week is Pflugerville running back Storm Woods. Woods rushed for 243 yards and three TD's in the Panthers 42-21 win over Converse-Judson.
Congrats to Woods and the Pflugerville Panthers who improved to 2-0 on the season.
