New this year to Pop Warner - Unlimited Division - Age: 11-14 Weight 105+ - On older lighter

GAME DAY  Each team plays one Saturday game each week unless for whatever reason a game needs to be reschedule or made up.  Make up games will be on a Sunday or during the week.  Away games will require some travel time.  Each player should arrive at their game site 1 hour before scheduled game time, fully dressed in uniform.  Game schedules will be posted on the website when it becomes available.    BEHAVIOR  We expect all adults to at accordingly.  We must remember that this is a “Youth Football and Cheerleading organization” and it’s for the kids.  We appreciate everyone that coaches, volunteers and those who just want to be part of the children’s memories; please just make them good memories.  Remember, it’s just a game.  The biggest part is for them to learn and have fun.  Please be mindful of the Player/Parent Contract guideline that was signed upon registration. MANDATORY PLAYER WEIGH IN/CERTIFICATION  There is an OFFICIAL MANDATORY WEIGH IN of all tackle football players.  All tackle football players are required to weigh in before the first official game of the season. No player will be allowed to play any games unless they are certified.  Location and times will be announced once we have the information.    LITTLE SCHOLAR   PYFL requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom before permitting them to play.  PYFL offers a valuable added incentive for academic excellence outside of the educational community.  Please remember to keep and make a copy of your End of the year June 2011 Report Card! VOLUNTEERS (WE NEED YOUR HELP!)  As always, the success and growth of our program is dependent on all of our volunteers.  We thank those who have helped out in the past, and invite those who haven’t to help out this year.  For those of you who are new to the program, volunteering even 2-3 hours a week during practice or 1-2 hours during home games can be a big help.  Let us know that you are out there and we can all work together to see how we can best help the program.  All parents are expected to volunteer.  Our program is run solely by volunteers!!  Without the volunteers in our program we simply would not have a program!  In the information package you will have a Volunteer Sign Up Sheet. Anyone who comes in direct contact with the children MUST complete a Volunteers Form which requires a Background check. It is very important that checks be done, and the safety of your children.  E-MAIL UPDATES  If you would like to have email updates regarding the program sent to your inbox, please send an email to charles_simpson@dell.com to be added to the distribution list.  FUNDRAISING The funds raised through fundraiser will be used to defray expenses incurred during the season including, trophies, banquets, uniforms, travel, transportation, referees, permits, insurance, fields/facilities fees, etc.  Also, if a team(s) advances to playoffs or the Pop Warner National Super Bowl in Orlando, Florida additional fundraising will be required. Our fundraiser is MANDATORY participation for each participant in our program.     Children to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship. We facilitate the development of strength and character in every child that participates. Participation in our league is open to all boys and girls in the Pflugerville area. We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our league is a positive influence in the lives of our children. FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT DEPOSIT POLICY
For the 2011 football season, every parent/guardian will be required to submit a post-dated check in the amount of $175.00 as a deposit for your player's football equipment. This deposit will prevent  PYFL from having to spend unnecessary resources to replace unreturned or damaged equipment. [NOTE: Normal wear & tear does not equate to damaged equipment]  THE DEPOSIT POLICY WILL WORK AS FOLLOWS...
On equipment handout day, each player is required to submit a post-dated check for $175.00, made payable to PYFL.  Upon submitting the post-dated check, your child will receive his equipment (helmet, shoulder pads and pants pads). Your deposit check will then be attached and filed along with a form (Equipment Release Form) listing the equipment loaned to the player (form is reviewed and signed by a parent to ensure accuracy). At the end of the season, your deposit check will be returned to you in exchange for your player's equipment. The check will not be cashed until 2 weeks after applicable team's last game.  Registration fees must be paid in Full to receive equipment. Equipment will NOT be issued without submitting the mandatory deposit check and signed Equipment Release Form. Refund Policy:  A 50% refund will be granted on or before August 1st.  All refund requests must be submitted in writing or sent via electronic mail to charles_simpson@dell.com. Please include in your refund request the following information:  Player and parents name, full mailing address & phone number, and brief reason for refund request. A representative from PYFL will reply when we receive your e-mail and a refund check will be mailed directly to your home within a few weeks. No cash refunds will be given. No refunds will be granted after August 5th.

IF YOUR ORGANIZATION IS NOT PLAYING FOOTBALL THIS SEASON, PLEASE COME OVER AND BE A PART OF OUR FAMILY!
