Welcome to West Charlotte Redskins!
WC Redskins offer a full-contact football and cheerleading program for young men and young ladies ages 7 - 13. The Redskins provide an opportunity to play competitive tackle football and cheer in a safe, structured and enjoyable environment. We will teach discipline, responsibility, perseverance, teamwork and sportsmanship knowing that lessons learned through youth sports will further benefit our young people in their everyday lives. We recognize that children learn best by example and we actively encourage all coaches and adult leaders to model these core values. All of our coaches are required to be certified by the nationally acclaimed USA Tackle Football Coaches Certification Program.
Our 2010 season was a very successful. All of our teams participated in the Piedmont Youth Football League's Super Bowl! We were unable to bring home the victories. In 2011, we are excited about continuing to build on our accomplishments. We welcome anyone who is willing to work hard and have some fun to come out and join us! WE ARE FAMILY!
The WC Redskins have three teams:
Prep - Ages 8-9, Max Weight 120lbs., Ball Advancement Weight Max 85lbs.
JV - Ages 10-11, Max Weight 160lbs., Ball Advancement Weight Max 115lbs.
Varsity - Ages 12-13, Max Weight 200lbs., Ball Advancement Weight Max 145lbs.
