PYBA: Welcome

Welcome to the PYBA web site.

 The Pocono Youth Basketball Association is for Boys and Girls in grades 2 to 12 who live in the Pocono  Mountain West School District.

PYBA was formed in 1993.
The program has grown to nearly 350 children playing on more than 30 teams , and is growing every year.  In 2006 we added 7th and 8th graders to our program to include those who may not have made the school team. In 2009 PYBA added a 9th and 10th grade program and a 2nd grade instructional program. This year we will be adding a 11th and 12th grade program.

The PYBA has rules that are geared towards the children, in addition to all PIAA rules. We have mandatory program rules for all grade levels that ensure that all children play the entire game. NO ONE SITS and watches while a coach tries to win a game! We also have a "mercy rule", this ensures no blowout scores on the scoreboard.
