A Note from the Pres
Dear Parents and Players of PVPGSL:
It is hard to believe we are almost done with regular season and about to begin end of the year tournament play. Skills have improved and fun has been had throughout all divisions.
On behalf of our entire board I want to say “thank you”.
To the players, thank you for your commitment to improve yourselves and ultimately our league. Your enthusiasm for your teammates and softball is unmatched. Keep up those crazy cheers!
To the parents, thank you for the countless hours you’ve spent driving to practices and games, playing catch, working in the snack shack, and supporting your girl(s) these last few months. You play a crucial role in the overall success of the league.
To the managers and coaches, without your willingness and ability to lead and coach, we would have a group of 300 athletes with nowhere to go to enhance their softball skills. Thank you for being there for all of them.
We made some facilities investments by revamping the Cornerstone fields and partnering with PV High to significantly upgrade their batting cages. Both efforts have benefitted our players. The skills clinics put on by the Long Beach State and PV High softball teams offered opportunities for skill improvement as well. During the summer months, there will be several independently run girls softball summer camps at which girls can continue their development. ( http://www.stbaseball.com/summer-softball-camp-2012)
With your continued participation and support, PVPGSL will continue to thrive and help grow the game of softball on The Hill.
