Palos Verdes Fastpitch: Welcome

PVPGSL Fall Ball 2014 Registration is now open!

2014 Fall Ball Registration Open Now!

PVPGSL is proud to offer two different programs for players who want to participate in the 2014 Fall/Winter Season:

PVPGSL's Recreational Fall Ball Program:  Runs from August through November for players in the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions.  Players should play in the division they will be playing in the Spring 2015 season.  The Fall Ball Program provides an opportunity for players to continue developing their skills in the off-season in a semi-competitive environment against other teams in the South Bay.  Fall Ball usually consists of one weekly practice and Sunday doubleheaders at home and at other locations throughout the South Bay.  There may be opportunities to play on Saturdays depending on player interest.

Federation Fall Ball Select Program:  Generally considered an extension of the All-Star softball season. This is a great environment for players to continue improving their skills in a competitive environment, but with a bit less pressure than All-Stars. This opportunity is available for the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions. We are looking to field teams in each division depending on the level of interest. The Select Program runs from September through November with teams eligible to begin practicing on August 1, 2014. Each team will play a series of doubleheader “friendlies” against other teams throughout Orange County on Saturday or Sunday. The Select Program includes two or three tournaments, depending on the age level, in September, October and November.

To be eligible to play on a Fall Ball Select Team, each player needs to fall within one or more of the following categories:

  • Played within the league during the 2014 spring season.
  • Played a minimum of 50% of the 2014 spring season games for PVPGSL. The exception to the 50% rule will be an injury that prevented the player from playing the regular season, i.e. broken arm leg, etc.
  • Participated in more than one game as a member of a travel ball team during 2014.
  • Players who did not play in a recreation league in spring of 2014 are eligible if they played in the Spring 2013 season. This applies to14U division only.
  • Players who played on any level of an all star team in their respective league regardless of their participation in the district championship games.

There is an additional fee to participate in the Select Program of $100-$150 to cover the cost of tournaments. This fee is in addition to your Recreational Fall Ball Program fee.
