Welcome to the Paradise Valley North Little League website!

The Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is “to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball.”

Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

Paradise Valley North Little League, part of Arizona District 3, was established in 1979 and continues to provide an opportunity for families in north Phoenix and Scottsdale to participate in the largest youth sports organization in the world  -  Little League!

PVNLL Family Night, Thursday 2/4

With a full weekend of tryouts behind us, it is now time to get the kids together to meet their coach and teammates. To that end, we will be having Family Night this Thursday, February 4th, in the Cafeteria at Sunrise Middle School (map).

We have Family Night split into two different times depending upon which level your child will be playing at during the season. For those kids playing T-ball and at the AA level, Family Night will begin at 6:30pm (most kids ages 5-9). For those kids playing at either the AAA or Majors level Family Night will begin at 7:30pm (most kids ages 9-12).

The coaches are beginning to reach out to let you all know which team your child will be on and the level at which they will be playing so you can determine, with certainty, what time you will need to show up for Family Night. If, by late Thursday, you have not heard from your coach or are not sure which time to arrive for Family Night please reach out to Dani Powell (danipowell10@msn.com) by email.

Also, we have many sponsorship opportunities available for those that are interested in promoting their business and helping their community at the same time. If you or someone you know is interested in taking advantage of this opportunity please see the attached document and speak to your child's coach about your interest on Family Night.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday Night!

Spring 2010 Divisions

PV North LL strives to create an atmosphere that will provide the best baseball experience for the players. We do our best to assign players to a division according to their ability. With that in mind, a player who has participated in a division in another league, or our fall ball program, that was based on age alone, may not neccesarily play in that division in the spring.

T-ball/Minors "A": Ages 5-6

Goal of this league is to introduce the game of baseball to the kids; batters get three pitches from a coach - if ball is not hit, then they use the tee. Teams are assigned by location, requests accomodated if possible, but not guaranteed.

Minors "AA": Ages 7-9

Machine-pitch during the entire season. Player development continues - prepare for playing kids-pitch. Players are assigned to teams through a draft.

Minors "AAA": Ages 8-11

Kids-pitch. Continue with player development - prepare players for Majors. Players are assigned to teams through a draft.

Majors: Ages 10-12

Competitive kids-pitch. Scores and standings are kept. League champion represents PV North in the District 3 Tournament of Champions. Players are assigned to teams through a draft.

Juniors: Ages 13-14

Competitive kids-pitch, on a larger diamond, using Major League rules. Players are assigned to teams through a draft. May play against teams from other leagues.

Seniors: Ages 15-16

Competitive kids-pitch, on a larger diamond, using Major League rules. Players are assigned to teams through a draft. May play against teams from other leagues.
