Check in / Registration Procedures: When you arrive at the Ballpark, you must register at the concession stand. This will be no later than one hour before your first game at the park. You need your teams proof of insurance at that time. Your roster and release must be signed by all parents on the roster. All payments for the tournament must be made in advance. You Cannot Start Play Without All Of This Information. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVIN TO TEAMS OTHER THAN RAIN OUT.
Rain out policy information: Every effort will be made to play all games. However, rain may make the fields unplayable and time lost will result in not all games being played. If your team gets three games in it will be considered a full tournament and there will be no refunds. If you play only two games, you will receive $100 refund. If you play only play one game, you will be refunded $200. Total rain out will be complete refund. No refunds will be issued for teams forfeiting games or refusing to take the field if the tournament director deems the fields playable. Game times may be reduced at tournament directors discretion to fit in a rain-delayed schedule.
Tournament Rules
Game Info:
1. Home Team: The home team shall be determined by a coin toss prior to the start of the Friday (pool) games. The higher seeded team will be home team for playoff games Sunday.
2. Official Book: The home team shall keep the official book.
3. Game Length: Games shall be 7 innings, with no new inning starting after 1 hour, 50 minutes. No extra innings, even if there is time left. Pool games tied at the end of the regulation play will be recorded as a tie. During elimination play extra innings will start with one out and the last out from the previous inning in batting line up on 2nd base. Only Championship game will be played straight to completion of game.
4. 10 run mercy rule is in effect after 4 innings, 15 runs after 3 innings.
5. No pre game infield practice allowed.
6. Game Reports: The winning team shall submit game results after each game to tournament director.
7. Dugouts are on a first come basis.
Base Running:
1. Batters may advance on a dropped third strike.
2. Head first sliding is allowed.
3. Slide or avoid contact rule is in effect. Penalty: Runner is out.
Player eligibility:
1. Players must be 14 years old prior to August 1, 2005
2. Coaches must have proof of age for all players available at all times for review.
Seeding Criteria: Teams will play in pool to determine seeding for single elimination play Saturday. All teams play for championship on Sunday. Please note that on schedule, the Sunday team numbers are your ranking numbers. 1 thru 12 ranked as follows:
1. Win/Loss record W = 3 T = 1 L = 0
2. Head to head
3. Total runs allowed
4. Total runs scored
5. Coin toss
Miscellaneous:
1. No metal cleats allowed.
2. Wood bats allowed. No softball bats!
