That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Welcome to the Puternic Wrestling Website

PUTERNIC = Brave, a courageous: bold: daring: intrepid: fearless of danger as a brave warrior.

The Puternic Wrestling Club philosophy is to teach a consistent system of wrestling week after week. The goal is to improve on what you learn and add to the system each week. The practices are designed for the wrestler who has set high goals. We highly encourage all participants to compete in as many tournaments as possible. This way you can put to use what you have learned. Wrestlers who have trained with the Puternic Club have seen huge improvements in their wrestling the following season. We believe that any wrestler that wants to be a "Champion" and is willing to put in the time and hard work during the off season will benefit tremendously from this expert coaching. The Puternic Wrestling Club is open to all age wrestlers: youth, high school, college and post college.

“There will come a time when winter will ask what you were doing all summer”

Wrestling season will soon be upon us!  Are you prepared?

You can make tremendous improvements by training during the off season. What you do between now and Thanksgiving will make a tremendous difference in your performance this coming season.

The Puternic Wrestling Club in Oxford, PA is offering pre-season series of clinics designed to “jump start” your training and your season.

  1.  Cradle/Tilt Clinic – Covers the most powerful pinning combination in wrestling; the cradle and the most effective method for scoring near falls; tilts. Coach Mike Rogers will show you how to put your opponent on his back and points on the board.
Coach Mike Rogers
2X NCAA Division I All-American
1996 NCAA Gorrian Award Winner, recording the most pins in the least amount of time
2001 District 6 AAA Coach of the Year
2X Eastern Wrestling League Champion

2.  Legs Clinic - It is a fact that in order to be a complete wrestler, you must be able to score from the offensive position.  Sharpen your leg skills and become a better wrestler regardless of age and experience.  Coach Lau Palade will make you a better wrestler on your feet.

Coach Lau Palade
5X Romanian National Champion
1992 Romanian Olympic Team Qualifier
2nd in the prestigious Balcanic Tournament, consisting of 7 countries.
